Peace-loving and religiously tolerant Muslims in Egypt

but.... what you mentioned mostly if not only involved the slaughter of muslims so it doesn't count, right?

Wrong.

Why be a nudnik??

The Shah ran the most pro-western, secular government in the mideast other than Israel, the meddling buffoon Carter just had to help overthrow the Shah in favor of what he described as 'good religious men.'

Now we see just how good they were.

Not only that, western companies had hundreds of billions of dollars invested in the petroleum infrastructure of Iran which was all lost when the mad marxist mullahs gained control of the government and confiscated western assets.

The very best I've ever read about the whole affair was written by a KGB officer who used the turmoil to defect to the west and just barely made it accross the border into Turkey by minutes.

The USSR had been trying to incite civil unrest in Iran for years in order to gain access, via Iran to a warm water port in the mid-east.

Carter might as well have been a member of the communist party if one takes any time at all to examine his foreign policy worldwide, he certainly didn't serve the interests of the American people at all.

It's being reported that Egyptian Christians guarded Muslims from government dispersers during Adhan (Muslim call to prayer) today.

Just thought people might want to know their fellow Christians risked themselves to guard vile, savage Muslims.

Two weeks ago Mubarak made a speech in whcih he called on all Egyptians, particularly Christians and moslems to unite against terrorism.

We see what he is getting for his trouble.

Human rights abuses in Iran since the Mullahs took over in 1979

Like I mentioned before regarding the numbers of people killed by the Shah, it has been said by the grandson of Ayatollah Khomenie that the Shah killed approximately 2500 people during his 30 year reign. The Mullahs, however, killed almost 100 times that much, killing almost 2,500,000 people since taking over the government in Iran in 1979.

A good number of those two and a half million people were Christian, particulary any who had risen to positions of authority under the Shah.

Then too the mullahs have supported hezbollah in Lebanon all these years and they have kept up a relentless attack on the Christians of that country who were in the majority when I was born but are now a waning minority.

Here is what one Arab Christian has to say about the muslim brotherhood that is particularly strong in Egypt, it's birthplace and which has spun off nearly every violent islamist terror group.

Anis Shorrosh, author of ‘’Islam Revealed’’ and ‘’The True Furqan,’’ is a Christian Arab-American who emigrated from Arab-controlled Jerusalem in January 1967.

‘’The following is my analysis of Islamic invasion of America, the agenda of Islamists and visible methods to take over America by the year 2020,’’ Shorrosh says. ‘’Will Americans continue to sleep through this invasion as they did when we were attacked on 9/11?’’

1. Terminate America’s freedom of speech by replacing it with statewide and nationwide hate-crime bills.

2. Wage a war of words using black leaders like Louis Farrakhan, Rev. Jesse Jackson and other visible religious personalities who promote Islam as the religion of African-Americans while insisting Christianity is for whites only. What they fail to tell African-Americans is that it was Arab Muslims who captured them and sold them as slaves. In fact, the Arabic word for black and slave is the same, ‘’Abed.’’

3. Engage the American public in dialogues, discussions, debates in colleges, universities, public libraries, radio, TV, churches and mosques on the virtues of Islam. Proclaim how it is historically another religion like Judaism and Christianity with the same monotheistic faith.

4. Nominate Muslim sympathizers to political office to bring about favorable legislation toward Islam and support potential sympathizers by block voting.

5. Take control of as much of Hollywood, the press, TV, radio and the Internet as possible by buying the related corportations or a controlling stock.(This is already happening with Major media stations.)

6. Yield to the fear of the imminent shut-off of the lifeblood of America – black gold. America’s economy depends on oil and 41 percent of it comes from the Middle East.

7. Yell ‘’foul, out-of-context, personal interpretation, hate crime, Zionist, un- American, inaccurate interpretation of the Quran’’ anytime Islam is criticized or the Quran is analyzed in the public arena.

8. Encourage Muslims to penetrate the White House, specifically with Islamists who can articulate a marvelous and peaceful picture of Islam. Acquire government positions and get membership in local school boards. Train Muslims a medical doctors to dominate the medical field, research and pharmaceutical l companies (Ever notice how numerous Muslim doctors in America are, when their countries need them more desperately than America?) Take over the computer industry. Establish Middle Eastern restaurants throughout the U.S. to connect planners of Islamization in a discreet way.

9. Accelerate Islamic demographic growth via:

* Massive immigration (100,000 annually since 1961).

* Use no birth control whatsoever – every baby of Muslim parents is automatically a Muslim and cannot choose another religion later.

* Muslim men must marry American women and Islamize them (10,000 annually). Then divorce them and remarry every five years – since one can’t legally marry four at one time. This is a legal solution in America.

* Convert angry, alienated black inmates and turn them into militants (so far 2,000 released inmates have joined al-Qaida worldwide). Only a few ‘’sleeper cells’’ have been captured in Afghanistan and on American soil.

10. Reading, writing, arithmetic and research through the American educational system, mosques and student centers (now 1,500) should be sprinkled with dislike of Jews, evangelical Christians and democracy. There are currently 300 exclusively Muslim schools in the U.S. which teach loyalty to the Quran, not the U.S. Constitution. In January of 2002, Saudi Arabia’s Embassy in Washington mailed 4,500 packets of the Quran and videos promoting Islam to America’s high schools – free of charge. Saudi Arabia would not allow the U.S. to reciprocate.

11. Provide very sizeable monetary Muslim grants to colleges and universities in America to establish ‘’Centers for Islamic studies’’ with Muslim directors to promote Islam in higher-education institutions.

12. Let the entire world know through propaganda, speeches, seminars, local and national media that terrorists have hijacked Islam, when in truth, Islam hijacked the terrorists.

13. Appeal to the historically compassionate and sensitive Americans for sympathy and tolerance towards Muslims in America who are portrayed as mainly immigrants from oppressed countries.

14. Nullify America’s sense of security by manipulating the intelligence community with misinformation. Periodically terrorize Americans with reports of impending attacks on bridges, tunnels, water supplies, airports, apartment buildings and malls.

15. Form riots and demonstrations in the prison system demanding Islamic Sharia as the way of life, not America’s justice system.

16. Open numerous charities throughout the U.S., but use the funds to support Islamic terrorism with American dollars.

17. Raise interest in Islam on America’s campuses by insisting freshman take at least one course on Islam.

18. Unify the numerous Muslim lobbies in Washington, mosques, Islamic student centers, educational organizations, magazines and papers by Internet and an annual convention to coordinate plans, propagate the faith and engender news in the media.

19. Send intimidating messages and messengers to the outspoken individuals who are critical of Islam and seek to eliminate them by hook or crook.

20. Applaud Muslims as loyal citizens of the U.S. by spotlighting their voting record as the highest percentage of all minority and ethic groups in America.

Not that I doubt it, just interested.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch house:

FoxNews.com - Some Muslims Attending Capitol Hill Prayer Group Have Terror Ties, Probe Reveals

The Congressional Muslim Staff Association (CMSA) has held weekly Friday Jummah prayers for more than a decade, and guest preachers are often invited to lead the service. The group held prayers informally for about eight years before gaining official status in 2006 under the sponsorship of Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., one of two Muslims currently serving in Congress. The second Muslim congressman, Rep. Andre Carson, D-Ind., joined as co-sponsor after he was elected in 2008.

Among those who FoxNews.com determined have attended the prayer services during the Clinton, George W. Bush and Obama administrations are:

— Anwar al-Awlaki, the notorious Al Qaeda cleric believed to be hiding in Yemen and the lone American on the U.S. government’s capture or kill list, who conducted a prayer service on Capitol Hill shortly after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

— Randall “Ismail” Royer, a former communications associate for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), who confessed in 2004 to receiving jihadist training in Pakistan. He is serving a 20-year prison term.

— Anwar Hajjaj, former president of Taibah International Aid Association, which was designated a terrorist organization by the U.S. and U.N. in 2004.

— Esam Omeish, the former president of the Muslim American Society, who was forced to resign from the Virginia Commission on Immigration in 2007 after calling for "the jihad way," among other remarks.

— Salam Al-Marayati, president of the Muslim Public Affairs Council, who was forced to step down from a national terrorism committee post in 1999 for pro-terrorist comments.

— Nihad Awad, CAIR executive director, who attended a Hamas meeting in Philadelphia in 1993 that was wiretapped by the FBI.

— Johari Abdul Malik, Dar al-Hijrah imam, who made statements in support of convicted and suspected terrorists who attended his mosque.

— Tariq Ramadan, a Muslim scholar banned from the U.S. for six years beginning in 2004 for his alleged ties and donations to terror groups. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton lifted Ramadan's ban in January.

— Abdulaziz Othman Al-Twaijri, the head of a division of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, considered a foreign agent by the U.S.

It is unclear who else has attended these services, because there appears to be no public record of those CMSA has invited to Capitol Hill.

Mubarak's government is incredibly corrupt and violates human rights. This is the reason for revolt.

Well there are probably reasons for the riots of which you know little, for instance today's demonstrations with the burning of police stations etc began after moslems emerged from friday meetings at the mosques.

The muslim brotherhood has had designs on ruling Egypt since they were aligned with Hiter's nazis in WWII and were the ones who assassinated Sadat, Mubarak's predecessor because he made a peace treaty with Israel.

No matter what Mubarak may be, that doesn't detract from the topic of the thread about opression of Christians in Egypt.

They are for the most part barred from employment by government or any moslem owned business.

Daughters of Christian families are routinely kidnapped, raped and forced to convert to islam.

Well there are probably reasons for the riots of which you know little, for instance today's demonstrations with the burning of police stations etc began after moslems emerged from friday meetings at the mosques.

Demonstrations had been planned since day 1 of the protests to take place Friday after the final prayer of the day. The two men that started the Facebook group initially planning the 1 million person protest in Cairo were arrested on Thursday morning. Insinuating that the Muslim leaders inside the mosques had anything to do with the burning of the police stations is out there. Maybe it was because the police were capturing and beating civilian protesters and foreign journalists as reported by The Guardian and a Dutch reporter???

Who reported that???

Mostly grassroots and Al-Jazeera. Hasn't gotten much exposure over here. And, before you say anything about Al-Jazeera... it's a bit slighted but very accurate.

I do have to say that you're spot-on about the Muslim Brotherhood. They're bad news bears. If they get their tendrils in the Egyptian government it'll set Egyptian, and Middle-Eastern to that extent, progress back significantly.

Al-Jazeera has two things going for it: Frost Over The World and Nisreen El-Shamayleh. Their coverage of the protests is above and beyond any American coverage.

And the imans said nothing to incite riots.

Gotcha.

The Gurardian is a marxist mouthpiece.

The marxists and the muslims have been sharing the same bed since the end of WWII and the muslims were deprived of their other socialists bedmates, the fascists.

Do you have a link to the al-jazeera article?

It is a shame on the current administration that they are so in bed with the muslim brotherhood.

What the middle east needs is another Attaturk but that seems unlikely.

Al-Jazeera has two things going for it: Frost Over The World and Nisreen El-Shamayleh. Their coverage of the protests is above and beyond any American coverage.

Remember Daniel Pearle??

The live shots on TV right now are amazing. The size of the riot is just amazing.

If you think for one minute that moslem imans played no role in the demonstrations then you are an imbecile

If you think for one instant that you can convince me that they didn't or that internet messages from America from muslim brotherhood leaders coordinating events didn't happen then you are too stupid for intelligent conversation, which is what I've considered you for quite a while.

Al-Jazeeera was slighted enough to effect the burning of Bibles in Afghanistan.

Al-Jaseera was slighted enough to broadcast B Hussein's first TV speech in which he made the following statements:

“Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance.”
Barack Hussein Obama

“it is important for Western countries to avoid impeding Muslim citizens from practicing religion as they see fit”
Barack Hussein Obama

“We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over so many centuries to shape the world for the better, including my own country.”
Barack Hussein Obama

“The contribution of Muslims to the United States are too long to catalog because Muslims are so interwoven into the fabric of our communities and our country”
Barack Hussein Obama

“I have lived in a Muslim-majority country... I know, because I am one of them.”
Barack Hussein Obama

“As a student of history, I also know civilization’s debt to Islam.”
Barack Hussein Obama

“Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality.”
Barack Hussein Obama

“And since our founding, American Muslims have enriched the United States.”
Barack Hussein Obama

“And I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.”
Barack Hussein Obama

“Moreover, freedom in America is indivisible from the freedom to practice one’s religion. That is why there is a mosque in every state of our union, and over 1,200 mosques within our borders. That is why the U.S. government has gone to court to protect the right of women and girls to wear the hijab, and to punish those who would deny it.”
Barack Hussein Obama

“We are not nor have we even been at war with Islam”
Barack Hussein Obama

Duh?

Almost like a Glen Beck rally.

In excess of 2 million protesters?

Actually I wanted to start some polls on whether or not people who post on this board believe what Obama says but so far have been preempted by one of the monitors from doing that.

I don't hear the fat lady singing so whatever monitor that is, it ain't over just yet and I am somewhat more determined that you are no matter that you control the deciding key for now.

I'll say this once:

Al-Jazeera will broadcast anything. They may not agree with the content, but it's educating viewers on global events. They don't craft articles with half-truths and hyperbole in order to form an opinion of actions for their readers/viewers. They simply show the world for what it is. Good or bad... and let their viewers/readers decide for themselves based on the content and context of the information presented. I have watched their programming quite a bit for several years now and can honestly say I don't think they have an agenda.

There isn't an article, per se, for the reports of the Christians protecting Muslims during prayer. Just pictures like this that give context:

NhC4m.jpg

This revolt is about ousting a corrupt regime that did not perform actions in the best interest of it's people. Nobody can tell where the government will go, but hopefully a secular democracy of the people and for the people will reign. That is what the people want.

I think it's ironic that he has a GS on his jacket. Figuratively and literally half a world apart.

Ironic also that Obama chose Al-Jazeera to broadcast
his first speech after his inauguration.

Mubarak didn't attend.

cairoobama.jpg

Mubarak's new VP has opened discussions with the MB.

And another GS is the equation is George Soros who
is using his powers to broadcast that Israel is the
cause of all the unrest in the mid-east.

In Europe there are areas, particularly in Paris but
in practically every major city and even smaller
hamlets that are called 'satelite cities'.

These areas are inhabited by moslems and have
thousands of satelite dishes that are tuned to Al-
Jazeera. Al-Jazeera may not have an agenda but
they certainly cater to the moslem world.

Your picture looks more like some place in Europe
where moslems hold Friday prayers while blocking
traffic in order to protest for more mosques being
built, this is happening in NYC on a regular basis
also.

So instead of Christians protecting moslem prayers
that appears to me to be private moslem security
guards.

How do you know enough to claim these are
Christians?? What is the GS supposed to represent?

BTW, the url for you pic seems to indicate channel 4,
not Al-Jazeera!!!
(Not so sure about that, you offer rather flimsy
evidence.)

At any rate that all seems beside the point, even if
100% of moslems don't subscribe to the 'slay the
infidel' dogma, a sizable portion do and they seem to
be able to gain positions of power, or to cause
significant strife.

Count the secularists in the following picture:

hajj.jpg

How many do you see??

The main people Mubarak supresses is the muslim
brotherhood which assassinated his predesessor for
making a peace treaty with Israel.

They hate Mubarak for sticking with that treaty.

And again, in Afghanistan when an Al-Jazeera reporter
was coverning religious services on an American base
he discovered Bibles printed in the local language and
caused enough stink that the US military publicly burned
those Bibles. How secular is that??

The female reporter who was just raped by a huge mob repeatedly would say these people are not very peaceful. I'm sorry but these people are using this situation now to do whatever they want.

I'm confused. Isn't bringing democratic self-determination to the Mid-East why we invaded Iraq?

I'm confused. Isn't bringing democratic self-determination to the Mid-East why we invaded Iraq?

Depends who you ask.

It isn't self-determination, we planted OUR version of democracy, which is central to the Neo-conservative ideology. The Project for the New American Century wanted the United States to invade Iraq in 1996 -- Bill Kristol, Wolfowitz, etc. (Half of the Bush Administration). While many on the right are stammering and lambasting the risk of the MU in Egypt, Neo-conservatives believe this is an example of their work in action, and are encouraging it on. All we saw was a hard-power, unilateral, knock off of liberalism. (Bush Doctrine)

The female reporter who was just raped by a huge mob repeatedly would say these people are not very peaceful. I'm sorry but these people are using this situation now to do whatever they want.

Your name makes absolutely no sense in regards to your comments on the Middle-east.

You mean his idea to drop a nuke on them? You're right... it should be NeoNazi.

That's a distortion.

Neo-conservative ideology is unilateral, and hard-power, but that doesn't explicitly imply invasion. If anything, everything I've seen coming from Kristol and the Weekly Stand..err...Neo-conservative paper is excitement in democracy, which is the foundation of their ideology. Of course, that might change if Americanized democracy isn't applied.

Your name makes absolutely no sense in regards to your comments on the Middle-east.

My name will never make sense to most of the people on here. I am a neocon on some issues. I'm a liberal on others. As far as the Middle East goes, I take a stance that really ticks most people off on here. Leave them completely alone and let them do to their area and their people whatever they feel like unless they physically threaten the security of the USA. Then I am all for blowing them or anyone else off the map. I view politics as the big quiet kid on the playground scenery. He is a quit kid. Doesn't bother anybody. But he is stronger than everyone else. Play nice with him and everything is fine. He let's everyone do as they please. Bother him and he will beat you into the concrete and leave you for dead.

Nation building is an absolute joke.
