Penn State scandal (merged)

Pedophile State deserves the death penalty...not football, the entire school. Bulldoze it...with Joe Pedophile and his assistant perverts under the rubble.

Sodom and Gomorrah had nothing on this hellhole.

I suggested bulldozing it earlier on this thread. You and I agree completely. Especially if we find that kids indeed were being sold.Unthinkable. I just can't fathom that many sordid men in one place. It's scary

Man, just saw something about a rumor of even worse allegations coming out regarding Sandusky's foundation. This is just awful and I can't believe any human being would do this to helpless children. Hopefully the rumor is not true, but would we be shocked at anything about this now?

Trying to convince me the rape of a stripper in a locker room shower by a middle aged man carries the same weight as sodomizing young boys is asinine and a flat out crooked thought process. Saying the obvious doesn't mean anyone " deserved it more".
It's an extra level of sick.

I have no idea how these idiots even come up with their ****.

You are saying none of us know, yet you seemed difinitive on p.233 of the thread something like this "when all of the details surface, and they will, you guys are going to realize that Paterno washed his hands of this long ago.". Also, people always say their comments are out of context when their comments dig them a hole.

Yeah, thats what I believe will happen. Didnt say I know it to be a fact.

And if you have a problem with something I post, then repost the entire statement in context, not one line of a commentary. Thanks.

You know I have really wondered about this. I mean considering everything and how bad it seems this could get. Not to mention the multi million dollar civil suits that are about to come down. I really don't see how they survive this.
This bullsh!t has only just begun.

If you're talking about Sandusky pimping out these kids to rich donors.... my guess is it may be true. That would make total sense in the context of the massive coverup, the deal with the cops and the DA, and the fact that the DA is now "missing" and declared dead. People just dont go missing, the go murdered. This thing is big, and all this "fry Paterno" nonsense will soon look insignificant....IMHO!

Jesus Christ man, did you read what I posted? Here it is again, so try this one more time.

"I'm guessing in light of whomever made this deal to cover everything up caused Paterno severe distress, but by that time there was nothing he could do about it or maybe he just could have opted to bring the university he loved and worked at for 50 years to its knees, provided he had the information to act on which is something else NOBODY KNOWS!

Bring the university to its knees? He got fired along with everbody above him in title less the gov.

The Second Mile learned of another investigation involving Mr. Sandusky in 2002. In its statement, the agency said its chief executive officer, Jack Raykovitz, testified at the investigating grand jury that he had been told by Mr. Curley that an internal Penn State investigation had found no corroboration for an allegation of inappropriate contact by Mr. Sandusky with a youth in a university locker room shower.

Read more: Second Mile knew of abuse allegations

Let me guess, everyone is assuming that Curley did not tell Paterno the same thing. Right.

Believe it or not, I tried and couldnt figure it out on my phone. "I wish I could have done more". Sorry. What difference would context make in that quote, however? This context thing seems to be a common theme. You stated what you were saying as you knew it would happen, other posters pointed it out. You never said "I think", "my opinion", etc

At the time the story broke, that was the furthest thing from knowable, according to the reports and the Duke Lacrosse Team was raked across the coals. That is why someone thought the situation was analogous; and that is why my response applied. I will continue to do as I please, Mr. Adult.

Ding ding ding...

The Duke Lacrosse team was also crucified in the court of public opinion and the lives of 20 or so students were put on hold or temporarily ruined because of exactly whats going on here with all this Paterno crap.

It was perfect analogy, only an idiot would disagree.

I don't see how people didn't fillow

The report in The Patriot-News of Harrisburg quoted the mother as saying school officials "told me to go home and think about what I wanted to do, and I was not happy. They said I needed to think about how that would impact my son if I said something like that. I went home and got [my son] and we came to [Children and Youth Services] immediately," said the woman, who was not identified.

Pretty explosive stuff.

The Second Mile said it immediately ended Mr. Sandusky's contact with children in the program after he told them in 2008 he was under investigation for alleged sexual contact with a child, an allegation he told the organization was false.

Dont forget this little fact. He was caught in 1998, forced to retire in 1999, because he was caught by McCreary. They find out in 2008, only after Sandusky tells them himself.

For 10 years, McCreary, Paterno, Curly, and the rest of the crew, knew what he was capable of and did nothing

10 years of being around possible victims

No excuse young man, no excuse

How can you not see this whole thing is not only about Paterno. He is part and parcel to the whole sickening thing but he isn't singled out by any means.

I didnt think you have been reading the posts you are responding too, this is proof.

"Bring the university to its knees" was with respect to the 99 deal with Sandusky and the events of 2002. I don't know that he had the power to reverse any of that, but if indeed he had the knowledge of what was really going on and had reported to the authorities it would have meant destruction for PSU, which I said is ironic that is exactly what we have anyway. I'm not talking about the incident in the shower, I'm talking about the conspiracy.
