The fact that they are letting him "retire" is a damn shame, and will set them back even further.

If you are a parent and you feel safe sending your kids to play football at a school that is willing to hide such a horrible crime, then you have issues.

I agree, it's hard to contemplate what any of us would actually do if we were subjected to seeing something as traumatic as that. But surely, at the very least, you could yell "Hey WTF are you doing!??!" or something. At the VERY least.

I think my response would be significantly more violent.

Todd Blackledge was on Mike and Mike this morning, and he sounded awful. Stunned. You could just hear the pain in his voice with every word.

I know I would at minimum take the kid away from there. I f I didn't I don't think I could live with myself. Again at minimum, I would have taken he kid.

You have an obligation to do at least that to begin with. After assuring that the kid is safe, the next is to report it to the police. Anything less, is unacceptable

Wait, they haven't even fired the GA?

Penn State shouldn't be allowed to field a football team for years if they allow him to coach another game. Period.

Wasn't talking about Paterno going to jail, I was referring to the pedophile. I don't think Paterno tried to cover-up it up or did anything illegal.

That GA is one of the cornerstones of the DA's case against the pedophile. He's a 1st person eye witness. I'm not ready to throw him under the bus yet. He should have come forward earlier, but he is doing the right thing now.

He's also not GA any more. Full time member of coaching staff. Signals in plays from sideline. Espn said he hasn't been on campus since all this hit the fan. Chris Fowler said the university said he was out 'recruiting'...
