His career is not the least tarnished in my eyes. He was a great coach and a great man. He made the mistake of not following up with the AD.

The AD didn't want this to come out. He told JoPa is so many words to keep to keep quite.

I think that exonerates paterno. Had he spoken to the ga and kept quiet, then I would be the first to say the dude should be hung. But he reported it, its easy to look back and say he should've done more cuz now it's clear what happened.

I am upset at paterno's bosses and the ga. Paterno shares some blame, but the extend people are freaking out is a little off to me.

didn't notice the question, not trying to avoid anything. I don't think he didn't believe the ga. The ga obviously acted like a coward, who knws wtf he said to paterno. I am guessing it was something, like hey I saw so and so in the shower w what I thin was a kid and it was weird etc. Who knows if he said, hey coach dude was butt ****ing this kid that was 8. The ga was a coward so I am sure he had trouble really conveying what he say. Paterno tells his bosses the next day, and then the real issues started.

What I don't understand that if Joe thought the GA was lying and the Administration never punished/reported Sandusky...why wasn't the GA punished for making a false allegation? I don't know about you but if someone at my job gets accused of something like that by another employee...SOMEONE is getting fired.

We don't know what sandusky told the president, and ad. THey probably believed him too, but the issue is they didn't report it and it wasn't given a chance to be investigated.
