Penn State scandal (merged)

The police tip line has received more than a dozen calls since Tuesday about Jerry Sandusky. He's been charged by only eight boys.

Damn, it just keeps getting worse.

Exactly. And Bilas said, "A grown man, in a shower, molesting a young boy...what else do you need to know?" Game over for everyone involved. Anyone who didn't call 911 immediately after being aware of these acts is guilty.

Bye Bye Gramps...good riddance.

If your mind was functioning the way it is now.
You mind starts to fade when you enter your late 60's.
At least for most people. Your not as sharp as you once were.
People go around scamming seniors all the time because of it. It's just a fact of life.

It decreases to the level that you don't do anything about hearing a child rape allegation of your top coach for over 10 years?

It's really soul crushing event both the crimes and the destruction of what seemed to be the right way to do things (Penn St.). Reality sadly doesn't match the veneer.

I'm gonna sound like a dick, but read other threads before you post.

This is like the 6th thread that's been created

Bear Bryant is still the face of Alabama football.

He is, but JoePa meant more to Penn State than Bear did to Bama. Bear might have been the greatest coach in major college football history, but Alabama was already neck and neck with Notre Dame as the biggest deal in college football for forty years prior to his arrival. Aside from a short period about 100 years ago, Penn St football was nothing before JoePa took the reins, and he built that program, brick by brick.

I think it would be accurately described as such: Bear Bryant will likely forever be the biggest name ever in the history of college football's greatest program. JoePa is Penn State.

You make serious errors in judgement.
Seniors get scammed all the time because of it.
They are not as sharp as they were.
This is such a serious lack of judgement on his part.
Maybe his mind just wasn't as sharp as it was at one time. The man is 84 years old now.

Well, if anyone who knows me, sees that I think that way, the instructions are to shoot me on first sight.
I've been around many older people, and I don't recall any of them having a thought change in regards to pedophile's and rape.
