Penn State scandal (merged)

How much more detail do you need to fire someone?

Well if you want to play hanging judge you dont need much detail do you. Paterno wasnt fired because he didnt do what was required as a university employee.

And sorry lawboy, I cant hear you, so whatever new lies you've cooked up now I cant read. (Sob)

Paterno was fired because he was part of a scandal that will stain the image of Penn State for years to come and his continued presence would serve to only create a media circus and detract from the university. Public perception of allowing him to stay would have further tarnished the image. In time all of the facts will come out to reinforce the need to make this move.

You want to call me ignorant when I give you facts and all you can say is this? Seriously, what more detail would you need? Paterno testified that he was told that Sandusky was fondling or doing something of a sexual nature to a young boy and then he did nothing else. We're not talking about indicting him and sentencing him to death for this, we are talking about firing based on his own words of what he was told and then what he didn't do.

Joe Pa: "And pray a little for the victims."

You arrogant, egotistical, uncaring, old bastard.

Well, Darwindumbass is probably right about that because University policy was apparently to allow serial rapists free reign of their facilities.

LOL Facts? Even the university rep said they didnt have any more detail than the public. I'm not complaining about him being fired so I dont really know what your problem is. But you dont have all the facts, and that is a fact!

You can add cold-hearted after he said "The kids that were victims, or whatever they want to say . . . ."

Followed by "Let's beat Nebraska"(said last night) He is clearly torn up about the children. He then led a pep rally. What a beacon of moral clarity

Yes, grand jury reports that summarize testimony of what Paterno actually said are often considered "facts" by the majority of people.

You need to go back and read that report again junior, and put it in perspective. Paterno reported the incident to university administrators. And since his testimony conflicts with McQuaery's, we really dont have all the facts now do we?

So either he covered up child molestation or he committed perjury according to your perspective.

Enlighten me senior, if you believe that he should have been fired, what facts are you relying on?

It is hilarious, and I'm talking about the feigned outrage of some of the idiots screaming for everybody's head.

The "years" reference was clearly with respect to how much longer it will take to adjudicate this thing, either that or suddenly I have lost the ability to read, or maybe you don't even understand what the hell you said, or are talking about. Yeah, I'll go with that one.

I'm not defending anybody you twit, I'm just leaning on the side of reason. A rush to judgment and all the rash decisions some of the dolts on this board want to make doesn't serve anybody. I still fail to see what damage a prudent wait until the investigation unfolds does to anyone. You don't have all the facts, neither do I, all you want is somebody's skin so you can play your own self righteous avenger. Thats the kind of bassackwards thinking I've come to expect on UT boards. lol

Coming from a "twit" like you I would expect nothing else...Opinions are like azzholes and even you have one no matter how much it stinks..For you to keep saying "rush to judgement" with all the info on hand makes me question YOUR ability to read...And "screaming for everybody's head" is EXACTLY what should happen in a case of CHILD SEXUAL MOLESTATION!!!..What is so hard for you to understand about just how serious that is?!?..The Grand Jury Report IS an investigation..Is this where I call YOU a twit?? And whether you admit it or not, Paterno is an accomplice now for all the victims of Sandusky after Paterno found out and didn't notify the police...Telling your AD was, is, and always will be a lame excuse for protecting his legacy at the expense of minor age rape victims...PERIOD...Like I said before, maybe you should get a "locker room visit" from a "self-righteous avenger" just like Sandusky allegedly visited his victims...That might be the only way you will ever realize how idiotic you sound posting drivel slanted towards support for selective punishment for the Sexual Assault of a Minor...Or not...I'm done with you, you are simply too idiotic to waste any more time on.....

Somebody stepped up and got it right- he deserved to be fired!
Move Pat up another notch on the list of greatest college coaches ever!

What are they going to do to Jo Pa anyway, the guy's 84? This stain on Penn State will be longlasting. Sad. I hope that the victims see some justice.

I know you guys will beat me up for this but this explains it all right here ! And yes its tasteless and cold hatred but when your program chooses to cover something like this up then expect to get hammered for a while. When you think we have it bad folks remember where Penn St is and will endure for years to come. UT will be back we are just impatient but we will be back. Now fire away at this pic kind of sums it all up.

I did leave the most important thing out. Remember the VICTIMS here they deserve all that the system of justice can impose !

From Penn State to the State Penn. Now I see why they call it Happy Valley. Joe Pa will skate on this but the University will pay millions to those families and rightfully so. It's too bad for everybody but especially the victims.
