Penn State scandal (merged)

Less reading and more common sense may be of benefit to you.
You say covering up child molestation is in accordance with some bs morality that you seem to adhere to?
Smoke more hookah man. Your posts are foolish.

He covered it up? I thought he reported to Curley and to Schultz.

Nevermind. It's a misunderstanding. Joepa just thought sand and the boy were horsing around and fondling in the shower. If he knew it was rape, he would have done more. This is what he will say.
Ridiculous.

If a grad assistant saw this, and didn't kick the SH*T out of this old man what a total PU**Y!!!!! I would have smashed this guys head into wall, then called the cops!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's what I was thinking. I understand it must have been shocking, but...that guy would have been eating tile. Can't help but think of my own sons and what I'd do to someone who abused them. :machgun:

RT @nathanielkraft Mark Madden just said on WEEI that reports coming that Sandusky & Second Mile pimped out young boys to rich donors

Hmm, if that is true then it would be safe to assume that JoePa and Penn State turned a blind eye to this so they could keep their program bringing in the money.

Pretty sure a lot more info on the real criminal is going to come out. Paterno deserved to be fired, but the people wishing for his death are pretty crazy.

If curley and schultz are police officers and sandusky is ostracized and arrested, joepa doesn't go out like this. He chose to save face.
Bad choice.

Schultz oversaw the Police Department. One could easily induce that a reasonable individual would feel that reporting to him is synonymous to reporting it to some lower-ranking policeman.

Is America morally bankrupt because we did not step in to prevent the atrocities in the Soviet Union, China, North Korea, Rwanda, Liberia, etc.?

Or, you have a different standard of morality for an individual person and a group of persons?

America certainly had reports of atrocities being committed in all those locations and certainly had the power to step in and prevent them in at least Rwanda and Liberia.

What?

I can't control what America does. I can control what I do when I see a prepubescent being raped in a shower. Is there not a difference?

For those throwing out the "morally bankrupt" comments:

1. Is God a moral being?

2. Supposing Paterno "knew" of Sandusky's behavior, and voluntarily and consciously permitted Sandusky to continue in said act, what makes Paterno different from God in that matter?

I don't believe in god. Paterno is morally bankrupt. I think you're just trolling. Why else would you bring god into this?

I bring God into this because most individuals in America do believe in God and believe that he is a moral being. If God can allow this to happen and still be supremely moral, then why if Paterno allows this to happen is he morally bankrupt?

It cannot be reconciled.

The policeman that was told is supposed to be the head of the Campus Police. If Paterno "ran" PSU???? Then he ran campus pd too! Explains alot in that light.

For someone who always attempts to portray a high level of feign intelligence, you are coming across as a complete imbecile in this thread.

Ethically Joe Pa did all he was suppose to. Morally he did not, but Morals don't run businesses in the U.S. This comes down to people trying to cover their backside.

Yes it can. God isn't real. Try again.
