I see lots of lawsuits and big payouts but all the money in the world cannot restore what the sick bas**** did to the lives of these kids.

I say give the school the NCAA death penalty for the next 3 years and have them forfeit their remainder games this season.

I bet Nebraska is asking what in the he** have we got ourselves into with this conference.

Why penalize the players who had nothing to do with this, and what NCAA violations have been made?

Paterno refusing to resign when this story first broke has and will cause much more harm to the PSU program and his personal legacy. Paterno says he will spend the rest of his life helping the university. They should tell him no thanks, you've helped us too much already. By forcing the Board of Trustees to fire him, he is responsible for any civil disobedience by the students/fans, dissension by the players, and all the additional negative PR these activities are producing. Even now, his reaction was to say he was disappointed with the Board's action, when he should be saying I was wrong in my actions, the Board of Trustees are correct in their decision, and all those in the PSU family should accept it as well so the program can move forward.

It should be investigated but probably not best to judge that somebody who has money and cares about kids, might donate to a charitable foundation for kids. (That being said, I'm assuming here, I didn't click the link...maybe the guy screams pedophile).

First of all the university and their cover up is the issue not the players. The NCAA could allow all the players except seniors to transfer without sitting out for a year given the circumstances. This problem is much bigger than the football program playing games at this point. By giving them a 3 year death penalty it will allow time for some of this to die down and a fresh start in the eyes of the rest of the country. Without the death penalty this will get brought up in every game and rehashed. Trash talk players will have a field day with this one.

SportsByBrooks commented last night during the rioting that he was hearing of a rumor that if proved true, would horrify the American public (as if we thought it wasn't bad enough already). I just read a rumor, may or may not be the one that was spoken about last night, but the RUMOR is that Sandusky pimped out boys from Second Mile to high dollar donors. I'm afraid this is only the beginning of what we'll all soon find out.

I have bought, grown and sold businesses. I currently am owner or coowner of 3.
Nothing I have ever been taught, or learned in the business world, correlates or supports the "ethics" that you say paterno has displayed.
