As I said in another thread, this is why I hate the Memphis Tigers. They act like we're some kind of creampuff. Yet, the series has been even over the past seven seasons, and we lead the series. It doesn't matter how often we beat them; they act like they're a blueblood program, while we're some kind of also-ran.

I want to believe this is true. Following football recruiting has made me skeptical until they say it themselves/sign the LOI.

I was never worried about Hubbs or Nichols. Both are coming to UT. Nichols is a big time player and deserves attention and (somewhat of a) shock factor in letting the public know where he's going. When I seen he wasn't coming in for Florida, I knew it would be the Bama game. Guy loves football but wants his own time and deserves it. Next week will tell a lot but IMO, I don't think we hear much from anyone besides speculation remarks until he announces for UT.

Why in the world did my previous posts get deleted?? I would like to know what board rule they violated. I would use the 'Contact Us' link, but I've been told that only Freak gets those emails, so unless he is the one to have deleted my posts, I don't think it would serve much good.

I suspect/hope you are right, but I still think about Elliott Williams - a kid who either did or all but committed to Pearl , changed at the last minute and broke down crying when he had to break the news to Bruce. Recruiting is a bizarre world.

Does anyone else think it's a bit of a coincidence that the rumors come out about UT...he's quick to hush them, and now announces a visit to midnight madness with the tigers.

He is wanting to announce on ESPNU, they aren't going to carry it, or there will be no drama AT ALL, if he didn't do anything. I think he's trying to create a little drama, play to all the fans(he's retweeting Auburn fans today) and create some form of anticipation for his announcement.

Midnight madness is a cool scene, at any school. The kid grew up in Memphis and has been to these before...as a basketball fan why wouldn't you wanna go? If someone asked invited me to go to Kentuckys I would, doesn't have to mean anything except that I enjoy basketball.
