Per Twitter Tee Declines

You know that because you're in Cali hanging with Tee and his wife. More dribble from the five percenters who can't have their way. To personally attack a man for HIS life choices as if you know what's best. Although its your opinion I respond by calling it narcissistic dribble.

No, I kind of look at it from the prospective of why did he fly here, bring the family, and create fanbase histeria.............to say I'm happy at USC?

He could have just told Coach Butch Jones that he was happy where he is at in a private conversation.

He flew in to have an interview and meet CBJ in person. Our fans should know by now that nothing is happening until it's official.

This is just like Grudenites thinking they are owed an explanation because of an idea they ran wild with.

That is our backyard. But that's his job. You can't fault him for doing it. It's not some sinister slight against UT.

Well it may not be to you but it is to me. Taking a 5 star kid out of our back yard to the left coast doesnt get it for me, that is called the enemy in my book.

I don't like it either. Doesn't mean he hates UT and/or owes us in any way.

Yeah, because it's not like Tennessee has any cities that are big on music...oh wait. No, it seems to me that Tee's wife being selfish screwed this up and cost him what could possibly be his only chance to coach at his alma mater which he wanted badly. Thanks Tee's wife, hope you feel good about yourself. Good luck to you Tee, I still hope to see you back in orange one day.

1. Tee didn't marry you so has no obligation to you or any of us.

2. Tee doesn't stick his nose into other people's marriage and insult their spouse for something that's none of his darn business. (hint, hint)
3. The music thing, what's her genre? If it's country your "oh wait. . ." may have something to it. If it's something else, well. . . .

4. I understand you and most folk's disappointment. I even believe if he'd have come, we'd keep Hunter and CP for one more season as a consequence. But he's not coming so, moving on without any of the ugly bitterness some of our fans are spewing at the man.

If he did that you would have said he didn't have the courtesy to coke to UT and check us out. That's what fake fans do. They ridicule former players, and no coach is good enough. They are Vol When We Win

Always loved Tee and wish him the best, but he will be looking for a job in the next two years. Kiifin is not on stable footing. Anybody that puts their faith and trust in that scumbag will eventually get burned. I guess will have to settle for another Bammer for our WR coach.

Dribble is the new drivel.
Looser is the new loser.

I have so much more to learn about this intraweb slanguage biniss.

Many valid points, but I would argue # 3. Indeed, country is Huge in Nashville, but I live across the street from Sting's drummer, I'm friends with many in the Christian Music Indusrty, I've been in a club only to have Metallica crash it one night..the Wooten bros play at a local jazz bar weekly...throw in the fact that Sony, Emi, Warner bros, MGM, et all, are here...and I would simply point out that while country might be the largest entity in town it's not the only...many, many, secular, Christian, rock, pop, jazz, blues and yes, country, musicians call Nashville home.

Most if not ALL coaches have family. That is a piss poor excuse to not accept the job. Did Justin Wilcox or Peter Sirmon not have a family?

He played Tennessee like the other few coaches did just to get more money from the school he is currently at. It will never be said, but that is what happened.

You hit the nail on the head as all of them used us to get more money. You have heard the old saying that nice guys finish last, its time for us to look for an experienced receivers coach that has played the position. The last 3 weeks every Coach including Gruden used UT to get a nice raise and Martin is no different.

BS, he was reached out to by his school and chose not to be a part of the the process to try to get back to the national stage. Its really smple, he chose Kiffin , job, and the bright lights of California over UT, He didnt want to do the 'hard work' and chose to keep the cozy job and that is fine. you can spin it all you want to.

There certainly is a lunatic fringe in the Vols fanbase. Then again, that goes for most College Football fans. How does this poster Know the reasons that Tee chose to stay in LA for now? So many act like they know all the reasons Tee made his choice. And some simply can not handle rejection.

It's likely the timing was not right. So why fly across the country for an interview? Perhaps he actually wanted to talk to CBJ in person to get all the details. Either way, good luck Tee. Hope to see you here in the future.

.

got a free trip to Rocky Top and got a pay raise from USC...where does he coach when Kiffy gets fired?...GBO!

The reason he didn't come is because he is scared of the challenge. USC is a very easy recruiting ground. UT isn't. He's a coward now as he was in 98. That's why he never amounted to nothing. He won 98 NC on peytons team

Ignorance personified.

We had our chance and DOOLEY yes DOOLEY blew it. People can't wait all their lives for something to happen. USC is obviously paying him more and he's only been there a year. Moving back across the country on such short notice after such a short stay was never a set-up that boded well for him coming back so soon.

And those of you talking smack about his parenting skills/family need to readjust your thinking. You're speaking about things of which you have no idea. Accusing a man (or a woman if the roles were reversed) who has the means and opportunity to visit his children often and who is also keeping the job he has because it pays more money (hence he has more money to support those kids) of being a bad father because things didn't work out between him and their mother and he leaves away for his job is among the meanest, most vile, personal attacks I've read here.

Would you tell a divorced father in the military that he was a bad father because he chose to go to a base where he'd receive training/opportunity for promotion over stagnating his career closer to home? What about one who is making twice as much money out of state than he would if he moved? Would you tell a mother who has to work night shifts or weekends away from home she's a bad mom? What about a married couple who are in the airline industry or long haul truck drivers who rely on their parents to watch the kids for long stretches at a time?
