It's a business decision so Tee Martin chooses to stay on at USC where it's very clear that Lane Kiffin is on the hot seat.

That doesn't seem like a good business decision.

FALSE! His family would have more to do with it than recruits.
Look yes his wife has connections in the industry but from a coaching standpoint he can see his recruits develop and pad his resume. Tee is a HC in the making he's going places. He did what was right for him and his family. He has children in Ktown too but made the decision to stay at Cal. This is business.

You sound like a little kid who whines when he doesn't get his way. Tee Martin helped UT win a NC. He's welcome back anytime.

Sure, when he is done coaching. But while he's coaching for USC, or any other team not orange and white, he's against us.

Something isn't adding up.

If I put my wife and newborn on a plane to go across country, its pretty much a done deal. Something is off.

I know several players that would give their left arm to get to come home and coach. I am surprised that Tee would turn down his home school especially with a child here. Maybe his new wife can't stand his ex. Good luck to Tee with next years dooley. Makes me appreciate Coach Jay Graham even more.

Looks like this was a "not now" more so than a "no".

We're beginning a new journey of 10k steps and there will be some setbacks, disappointments and challenges. It is part of being a championship level program. There is no doubt in my mind we are on our way back but let's be realistic, keep the main goal in front and enjoy the ride.

Well let's be honest, USC is much better than us right now. They have the #1 class coming in and Tee wants to be a part of it. Los Angeles is one of THE cities and his family likes it there. I honestly think he wanted to come back, but he has to think of his family in the long run. Tennessee right now isn't proven and we just got a brand new staff and it's going to take some time to get back on top. USC is basically there already, they just have to play a little better. And plus, California is a recruiter's dream

Hubbs said he was offered at least 350K, maybe a bit higher.

And the fact that he brought his family (on a red eye flight no less) to Knoxville just to tell us NO has Hubbs surprised.

FWIW, I'm not positive that this is what Tee wanted. I think someone else in his family might be winning this battle.

Martin was showing respect to his Alma mater that he didn't get in return from Dooley or Hart.

IT gets old fast. Has to be upper management.
Seriously at some point folks need to see reality. This has everything to do with Job security and the fickle nature of fans around these parts. This has to be the most delusional/Bi-Polar fan base on the planet. Everyone comes up with insane rumors whips everyone into a frenzy then when things don't work out everyone gets butt-hurt.

We expect coaches to come in and immediately compete for national championships. Realistically that is what competing for an SEC championship is lately. Look at the past 10 years.. The SEC is that hard at the top. We get turned down by coaches because this is a freaking scary job to take. There is little to no job security especially as an assistant. Until a head coach comes in here and stays 4 or 5 years getting top assistants is not going to be nearly as easy as people seem to think. Unless they all have buyouts. The only way any coach should take a job here is if they get a good buyout and even in Dooleys case that didn't matter because people around here are just that freaking insane.

We just paid a dude 5 mil so we could rebuild for 3 more years. Worst case he stays 2 more and we build up because we improved every year he was here. Switching the defense was a bad move that backfired but it would have evened out after another year or so. Now recruiting class got shot in the head. Guys that probably would have declared will almost certainly declare. If Bray and Hunter stay they are idiots. Learn a whole new offense and hope it works out?

Probably a wise move. I wish he were coming here but maybe some day he'll come back as a coordinator?
