It's a lose, lose for Butch. If he didn't offer T he would get blasted and now that T turned it down , now it's not a great start for BJ. It's Ts lost not BJ or UT.

I have nothing against Tee. We'll all just move along now.

However I will pull just that much harder against Kiffin...assuming I wasn't already at my full anti-Lame load limit.

As I sit here reading the bull crap about women and kitchens etc I cant help but remember my childhood and looking at the trailor trash and guys who's trucks don't work 90% of the time but Hey they have shotguns in them and they are wearing orange

Hound dogs out back (Probably 5 of them all tied by a rope)
Drinking whisky and smoking ciggs even though they can't pay the electricity bill and if the cig money is wearing out by Friday you can always dip

All I'm going to say to this crap anymore ..Bet you mine is bigger

I love Tennessee...born and raised in Memphis...UT grad, lived in Knoxville for 9 years. If I lived in LA and just had a baby and just moved a year prior. I would not leave either. I don't blame him. He showed Tennessee the utmost respect and Butch Jones did an excellent job getting him here to interview. None of us know what was said at that meeting. None of us know what was offered or what might be available for Tee here in the future when/if the time is right.

He helped give us our national title! He is a VFL! I wish him the best! Can we all please step away from the ledge!

Tee Martin also has 2 kids here in Knoxville (twin boy and girl who attend Powell Middle School). I don't buy the whole "moving his kids" thing.

Half of his children are here.

I understand that. I have no idea what sort of financial considerations USC might have in firing Kiffin. That would come into play as well.

As for Martin, perhaps he is reasonably confident that he has a chance of being retained even if there is a coaching change? If he is a competent coach and has all of the recruiting clout that some say, it seems reasonable that he would get a decent look from the new guy.

I don't know why he didn't come here, but I would say that he has at least as good of a sense of LC's future (and almost certainly a better one) than you or I might have. With that said, he wasn't too worried about it.
