Peyton's Last Game might be today so watch.

So how did Peyton break all of the passing records if his WRs and TEs suck?

Thought the same thing. :eek:k: :eek:k: :clapping: :clapping:
The guys had a bad day on a very important day. But Volgod worshipers can't comprehend this, even when it happens to Peyton himself, it's somehow other people's fault, but never the Volgod. I'm all for Pey and hope his team put blackjack beating, brass knuckles and back alley assault, shotgun pelting, and a luger coup de grace on the Pats. But he won't do it by both passing and catching the ball himself. Nor by considering his teammates as inferior failures. Certain fans might learn from Peyton's attitude how to view a team someday. If so Vols and other teams they support will have better fans.

Read this article on the internet, so it must be true! At least it wasn't released by the government, which we don't trust!

TV news, newspapers, magazines and so forth need to be heeded with care. You do this by checking to see the sources. In this case, the bottom of the page says: Information from The Associated Press was used in this report. You don't make this claim haphazardly because if lying, you'll get sued. Run of the mill Internet articles can't make such claims so are little more than unsubstantiated opinions and/or hearsay.

Peyton isn't dumb. He's going to work with his doctors and listen to them if they say he's done as in really done. I also think that OL knows that with Peyton their paydays are going to be bigger cause he'll take them farther. They will work very hard to keep that precious neck safe.

That is completely overblown. Read this breakdown of his 11 playoff losses to see how many of them are actually his fault.

Schefter's Blitz - It all falls on Peyton Manning - ESPN

The Volgod also choked against Florida and Nebraska with the same team Tee Martin the next year went to the BCS with and won.

OK, I notice you dragged that one statement out of my post to contend with. I hope you also noticed that I'm a Peyton fan and am hoping his team wrap and ship the Pats to parts unknown. But I will always call things as I see them. He does throw interceptions that have cost his team championships and do things he hasn't done all season or rarely did that cost them too. Part of the reason is he throws into very tight windows. The law of averages dictates that sometimes and at some point, those throws are going to go against him. Sure enough, it does happen. So my statement isn't anti-Peyton, just calling it as I see it. No biased article is going to change my perception.

He was only sacked 18 times all season. Didn't take one today. It's not like he's taking major hits and spending all his time in the turf. He just played his greatest football to date. He looks like he has another 3 or 4 seasons in him competing at a championship level.

I hope you're right but we will have to wait for the medical exam he takes in March.

Why don't you pull the string out and find another program to pull for?

Manning is fine and he is going to be 12-11 when this NFL season concludes.

Yeah God forbid I worry about his health. You obviously know nothing about neck injuries and how serious they can be. Especially later down the road. I want Peyton to play as long as he is healthy and able to. But I do not want him to risk permanent damage to his body just to appease us fans.

Keep on thinking that you actually know something. By the way who let you out of time out? Do you need some allowance money to buy some more play dough and crayons to play with at the kiddie table?

Even if it was his last game, what do I care? His last game as a Vol has already been played. And he spent most of his career beating my favorite team in the NFL.

I'll pull for him today, and pull for him against the Patriots. But I prefer the Seahawks win it all, given the teams left.

I was already not much of a fan of Peyton in the NFL as a rival. Then, he spurned the Titans... why would I cheer for him just because he played for Tennessee? He didn't choose to sign with the Titans just because it's Tennessee.

The Titans suck get over it.

Calm down. I dragged that one statement out because that is what I disagreed with (in that post). Now however I find it ridiculous that you are implying that Tee Martin was a better QB? Because he did not "choke" in that one year? Perhaps Broncos should call Tee up to line up against Brady (I'm sure that would increase Broncos chances because you have figured out that he is less likely to choke than Peyton).
Also, instead of calling that espn article biased why don't you explain where they went wrong? All I saw was a factual analysis that shows that 7 out of 11 of Peytons losses were caused by a single play (mistake by a teammate of his every time - and they went through all of them and clearly spelled out exactly what happened on those plays). So where is the bias in that?

1. Paul Revere did slow down. He was drunk that night after spending time drinking in the local tavern and got dragged off his horse by the Tories after covering barely ten miles. 16 year ol Sybil Ludington (daughter of a militia commander) on the other hand rode bareback and with a stick to beat on doors, covered 40 some miles. She's the real reason that militia mustered the majority of their men on hand. But women don't get preferable history writing so. . . . However, if you've ever ridden a horse bareback, you'd know what a feat this was.

2. I'm hoping like heck the Broncos (even though I'm not really a fan) beat the Pats. Peyton has a history of choking in big games. Throwing interceptions and making mistakes he didn't all season. So I really want to see him out-duel Brady and do it decisively.

Whew! What a tirade, what a rant, and you're telling me to calm down. Man, that's hilarious in the light of your post. Really hilarious. :yu:

You make it sound like TN lining up against Alabama. Have you watched the Broncos this year? They're a little better than competitive.

I saw NE spot Denver 24 pts earlier this year before rallying to win. I saw NE line up and thoroughly dominate a Colts team that was playing well, who beat the Broncos earlier this year..... by being one dimensional on offense/running the ball down their throats. Brady and the passing game were virtually nonexistent. Denver lost a starting CB with a torn ACL today and their other CB, Jammer, was absolutely toasted all day yesterday.... by a rookie.

I've seen Belichick/Brady beat Peyton time and time again. I think NE is playing better football than Denver right now .... I stand by my original statement.... The Broncos will have to play their best game of the year to beat NE.

Regarding your Alabama comment.... they are very similar. Bama is the best program in the SEC, probably all of college football. NE is easily the best organization in the NFL IMHO.
