Police shooting black man in the back ... again (Kenosha, WI)

My original post to Ricky was asking why he felt the orders were lawful.

The facts are not yet known, but Ricky in true cop fashion says the shoot was good.

That was my point to you. You mentioned "murdered". In the end, you may turn out to be 100% correct, yet I would say we know very little of the facts here to jump to that conclusion also.

Ricky has never met a shooting he didn't like. Maybe, just maybe, he thought the North Charleston police shooting was bad (where the unarmed guy was clearly running away from the cop)

As a measure to quell the violence in the city,
It would’ve been reported.
Except it wouldn't make one bit of difference. I know that, the police know that and deep down you do too.

Maybe there were multiple weapons maybe there weren't. I always say wait on the facts, they will come out. But everyone wants to knee jerk and this is where it gets us. I remember the Brown case all too well, and almost every case I've seen recently tends to lean more in that direction than the narrative that's always pushed in the knee jerk reaction.

What happens when you fight back at the scene against unlawful orders and win? You still lose don’t you?

Isn't it that simple....you can't win, even if you do, you do not win. Assault and/or kill a cop, justified or not, at the scene, it doesn't matter as the situation develops and more police come. You do not win in any scenario.

No matter the actions or ethics or attitude of any police, you have very little recourse except to video your interaction and "take your lumps" and be patient and calm.

There is no win in the situation except to be able to leave the scene. Now, if you have any outstanding issues at the time of your interaction, be an adult and go deal with whatever it is you hadn't or refused to up until that point. If you have anything in the car, once again, be an adult and take your medicine for your choices.

Looks from the new video they were still dealing with the other females that he was fighting with..they shouldve taken him down right there and handcuffed him, but 20/20 hindsight is easy after the fact
This wasnt bang bang in my opinion. It would be different if he just turned opened up the passenger door and quickly reached in. If that had been the case its 100% stupid game stupid prizes. But that's not what happened.

There was a cop hanging onto his shirt so talking about the women doesnt work here. And clearly there was time/proximity to do something besides shoot him.

It's difficult for me to wrap my head around being shot 7 times in the back as justified without a single shot fired at the officers. In this thread I'm seeing things like hinsight is 20/20, he deserved it because he was convicted of sexual assault previously, the rest of us shouldn't comment because we don't really understand the law, etc..

I see one common denominator in nearly all police shootings and it isn't the race of the suspect:

These things always seem to show a person who is resisting arrest and not cooperating with law enforcement. There's a lesson to be learned: Not cooperating with cops runs the risk of ending up dead. Don't do that

People get too caught up on shot 7 times thing when cops are taught to shoot multiple times like that when they decide to fire their weapon.

In the back, with no weapon pointed back at you? The 7 shots is just the icing on top of the ridiculousness.

So when the cops come and demand your guns and you refuse to comply and they shoot you that's cool, right?

What would you have done differently? They tazed him..... he didn’t stop..... ordered him to stop.... he didn’t stop.... pointed weapons at him.... he didn’t stop.... the only other option is to run and tackling him with a violent offender who has no issue fighting the police.

Maybe this is a case where both sides ****ed up? Weird, I know, right?

No one denies that the victim acted stupidly. Many girls do stupid things that lead to them getting raped. Does the rape get excused because she wore a miniskirt and was drunk?

Yes, but the cops should be facing murder charges. If cops unlawfully detain you... they should be facing criminal charges for false imprisonment.

If I resist I run the chance that I'm going to end up dead. I understand that fact. Why don't you?

If I think what they're doing is unlawful I'll sue them later but the key is that I'll be alive to sue them later

I'm guessing you'll get some "cold dead hand" types who'll say hell no.

Are you speaking from experience here?

Charge them with whatever a grand jury will go for but then they deserve a fair trial. I'm numb to this stuff. I no longer buy the knee jerk hype after seeing Ferguson, Missouri...Baltimore and others where in the end it becomes clear that the cops were not guilty

If cops come to my house with a search warrant demanding my guns I will stand back out of the way and let them look for what they think I have . Anything they find I will go before
a judge and retrieve . Simple test of IQ and Natural selection .
