Sometimes it does. Prosecutors will tell you that it's often very difficult to prosecute rape cases where both parties are drunk

In all honesty, cops need to develop something that can be used to quickly bind/immobilize legs. This shooting and the Atlanta shooting would not have happened if legs could have been immobilized.

Have you ever watched police training videos.... do you how quick it takes for him to be able to shoot a gun at the officer? From what I have seen.... when a person refuses commands and reaches into a car like that they are immediately deemed a lethal threat. I remember a few years ago Atlanta invited this African American group that was protesting a coo shooting and was trying to change protocols involved with shootings..... They set them up on a training course with blanks.....By the end of the training.... they were running and shooting behind their head and not even looking at what they were shooting.... They learned and had a new respect for the police bc they didn’t realize how fast things could go sideways.

Totally agree. If you're worried about him going for a gun, why do you let him get to that point? Somebody put your gun down and taze him or grab him or something. This is not good police work. People are crazy. Cops are supposed to be able to deal with that fact without making terrible mistakes that result in riots.

He was tazed but I think one of the biggest makes was getting rid of those Billie clubs.... let the cops knock the crap out of the dude and arrest him

Bean bag shotguns and rubber bullets. Whenever multiple cops are at a scene only the highest ranking officer should have the ability to use deadly force. All others are to use their non-lethal weapons unless directed otherwise.

Agreed, but, if the citizenry wasn't low grade human excrement then the need for police wouldn't be needed, same as the laws passed. They, for the pure existence of their job, deal with more crappy people than not. So, crappy people, and crappy police......lead to crappy situations that almost all could have been avoided and dealt with differently.

Seemingly, it is the one constant that these shootings are a mash of 2 sides of idiots who collide.

What if the lowest ranking officer is getting his life threatened and it's not possible for the highest ranking officer to come to his defense?

Yeah. I have seen mentioned a couple times here that there is other video showing him on the ground. No idea what happened from that moment to when he was walking away.

If you can get a hand on him they should be able to tackle the guy from behind. Imo it's hard to argue they were in immediate danger with his back to them where it would have been unwise to tackle him.

Now once he gets the door open and reaches inside, it's back to stupid games. But imo the cops had a chance to safely descelate the situation before that moment. I dont see it as overboard to think the cops have a duty to descelate a situation with non lethal measures Again I cant imagine their training says:allow the perp to get a (second?) Weapon before using force.

I would think their training would be the opposite. Make sure he doesnt get a weapon.

Imo this isn't a case where all the blame sits on the guy who got shot.

Define "getting life threatened". Because walking to your car, lying on the ground saying you can't breathe, and sleeping in your own bed ain't it.

All for it, then let people deal with their stuff how they see fit, and the whining and intolerable crying with the reality seen will only lead most people back to the thought, we need police...and laws.......

The guy that took the video of the incident says the cops were screaming at him multiple times to "drop the knife". Not sure if a knife has been found or not, but we have seen the grainy photo posted.
