I just saw the video from the passenger side of the car where he fights off the officers and gets up. What options were left to the police at that point assuming they had already used what non lethal weapons they had? If they would have let him go would they/the dept be liable should he have hurt his kids or someone else?
Exactly, what these same posters say if the video showed 4 officers jumping on this guy, handcuffing him and having to fight him while he screams ? The thread would be "Police beat poor black man AGAIN"
So shooting him in the back is the only option? Seriously?
99% of all officers do...
The only reasons some departments don't have them are because lawyers and activist groups threatened to sue out of "privacy concerns" OR more common, they cost too much
IF you believed he had a weapon or was going for a weapon, and the taser failed, what options would you consider? trying to do a Tik Tok dance?
Most employees (cops or otherwise) typically are barely living paycheck to paycheck.... They are too worried about making it then to take a stand for something. What I cannot understand is why cops don’t go on strike to force the politicians hands. Politicians only have 1 power and that is to control how government revenue is spent and the police are the only resource the government has to collect revenue. Go on strike until they get you the cameras.
