Baxter is not Jesus. You must read the bible for yourself. Ultimately it will be up to you where you spend eternity and you don't get the choice on judgment day. I feel like I have some work to do myself.
Ah yes, read a book written by man. There's no way that could be wrong

None of it exists. Period.

Religion is the biggest farce in human history, and the cause of nearly every major conflict, whether it was brought up or not.

I disagree with the statement that none of it exists. I completely believe that there is a supreme being but I do agree that the existence of organized religion has caused too many wars and misery.

The times I have listened to that “voice” or whatever you want to call it, let’s call it ”conscience” hasn’t been wrong.

I want to believe, truly. I will absolutely admit there were occasions where I let myself believe that I felt something with family at church.

I have also seen first hand what religion causes because of slight differences. There are certain smells that one can never forget. Burnt, rotting flesh in a shallow grave is one.

I have smelt that smell and understand completely. I just can’t look into the sky or explain certain other things that I’ve experienced and deny that there is a supreme being.

Fair enough. I have yet to experience something that can't be explained*. Those that have, is of my opinion sheer luck, but they look for a reason it happened.

*I lied. There is something. I've lost as many, if not more, back home than over there. What's your God's answer for that?

I've literally had a soldier of mine post on Facebook that he was killing himself in the front yard so as not to mess up the house for his wife and kids and to call 911. He was successful

Yeah, I have no answer to that. I have the same questions.

“War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth a war, is much worse."

Well, I'll be in church tomorrow morning praying for all of you 🙏🏻. Hopefully none of you are offended, but if you are, you'll get over it 😂

The part that may irk me the most is how, Christians for example, pick and choose parts of the bible that fit their narrative and run with it and completely ignore others.

If the bible is real then didn’t the big guy admit to creating peace and making evil?

If he is real he is absolutely not some grand and loving god.

Where in the Bible did God admit to creating evil? The Bible tells us that God allows free will, even with the angels. Evil comes from turning away from God, so I don’t know that it means He created it. I think lots of people like to blame God for everything wrong in their lives instead of thanking Him for everything good in their lives.

The Bible was written by men, edited by men wanting to justify their station and denied to the populace by men who didn’t want their authority challenged.

Do you really believe that if Jes^s said ”to heck with Caesar, keep your money” it would have made it into the Bible?
Do you believe in the supernatural?

Trying to avoid hell? Or are you in my camp.

Love and serve G-d to the best of your ability and accept H-s judgement, whatever it may be?
I try to love and serve the Lord and will accept whatever judgement He gives me. I try to treat people good and ask for the same in return, although that's extremely tough sometimes in this forum. I'm as flawed as anyone else, but there's some in this forum that really need hard lessons on treating people well.

But I digress....

He’s a KJV only guy.
Hes not interested in what was originally written
Guilty of being a KJV only for English speaking people.
The fact is, we don't have any originals, just copies. And we can know exactly what was in the originals.

If you really want to find out who God is, study the resurrection of Jesus Christ!

“I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.”

Is that not what that means?

He did create everything, correct?
