Here’s another one that needs some explaining:

“Bondservants, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling, with a sincere heart, as you would Christ.”

To a degree
The bible is a supernatural book that was supernaturally given and supernaturally preserved.... If you don't believe in the supernatural you cannot believe the bible.
Jesus Christ is a supernatural being, God in the flesh and he proved it by the miracles that he performed and most of all when he arose from the dead!
Once you come to terms with that, the rest is easy...

Most likely a translation and contextual issue.

Lol. That is exactly why anyone that makes all their life decisions based on that book is crazy to me. I honestly can’t wrap my head around it.

If the bible is indeed the words of God? Why would you not make life decisions based on it?
I believe we do have a copy of the very words of God.

Because some people live their life off evidence / fact and not faith.

What are your thoughts son the negative things god has said in the bible? Why do christians tend to ignore those?

Science relies on faith if we take faith on it’s own definition. Even Richard Dawkins will tell you this.

Do you think you should obey your boss at work? Do you think you should obey the traffic laws?

It takes way more faith to believe evolution than it does in the beginning God!

I can physically see my boss. He exists.
You was quoting a verse about servants obeying their masters according to the flesh.
I can see God in all of his creation.... It's truly magnificent!!

Where in the Bible did God admit to creating evil? The Bible tells us that God allows free will, even with the angels. Evil comes from turning away from God, so I don’t know that it means He created it. I think lots of people like to blame God for everything wrong in their lives instead of thanking Him for everything good in their lives.
Hold on.
That argument is always from a human perspective.
From our perspective death is permanent but from the perspective of an immortal creator, death here is merely a transition to the next event.

Furthermore if G-d creates all things then evil is what he says is evil. Our definition is not the final word

Do you have any opinion on how the word of god okays slavery? I’ve posted that question but no one will answer it in here.
Biblical slavery is a bit different than what was practiced during the early stages of our country.

I try to love and serve the Lord and will accept whatever judgement He gives me. I try to treat people good and ask for the same in return, although that's extremely tough sometimes in this forum. I'm as flawed as anyone else, but there's some in this forum that really need hard lessons on treating people well.

But I digress....
Then you and I are in accord and I believe you do well, regardless of any details we may not agree on

And evil isn't necessarily sin. Get a 1828 webster's dictionary and do a good word study. Ecclesiastes is also a good place to shed light on the word evil. Look up evil days in chapter 12.

Guilty of being a KJV only for English speaking people.
The fact is, we don't have any originals, just copies. And we can know exactly what was in the originals.
We do have originals.
And very old copies that are nothing like those copies the KJV is translated from.

It’s magnificent to see slavery that is supported by your god?

You’ve got that backwards.

Sin isn’t necessarily evil.
Sin is simply missing the mark.

Regulated by God and slavery was either a welfare program that you could agree to do to settle your debts or when enemy nations would be spared and made servants rather than killing them.
Are you smarter than God?
