This one is just stacked and one of the bigger talking points in college baseball right now. Last years wasn’t. That’s the only difference

Yep if they land Holman they will have 1 starting pitcher (out of 3), 2-3 bullpen guys (out of like 7-8) and anywhere from 2-4 position players (out of 9) from the portal. To say over half the team is guys chasing a check is flat out wrong

You can’t build a team strictly from the portal, but what you can do is supplement a strong core with a couple of studs to put them over the top. It’s exactly what lsu did this year, and what tennessee did last year and this year. And it’s why Tony V will have them in position for yet another Omaha run. They still have a very strong core of guys who have been around from day 1

I look at it as Raleigh being a former coach.

It’s about sentence structure, where a reference to the first of two subjects is referred to as the former, the second as the latter.

Seems like UF faired similarly (one more win) as the Vols when playing the CWS champs.
In 2022 UF had 4 players drafted + one FA, while Tennessee had 10. But the players aren't getting MLB caliber development?

Skenes and Tommy Tanks “chasing the check” at LSU certainly worked out poorly for the Tigers

I'm not worried about what worked out for who. It's like Kentucky basketball, it's not even worth learning these guys names because they're here today and gone tomorrow.

Guys like Gelanie and Snead, I can understand because they're moving up a level. However power 5 guys who already have established roles are only after one thing. That's the part I can't support. There is no reason for P5 guys to be jumping around like they are.
