Like I mentioned before, I don't blame Tony for playing the game. I hate the game itself. That is what I dont support. This Willy nilly free agency stuff wasn't anywhere close to the intention behind the rule for the NIL or the portal, but too many people were to naive to understand the pandoras box they were opening.

Blame the NCAA. They had numerous opportunities over the years to do something and they failed. Now, they can't do a thing.

100%. Arkansas, Vandy and LSU fans have been saying the same thing for the last three years. It’s hilarious how badly they want TV to leave us. Too bad for them cause he’s not going anywhere.

USCe fans are beyond jealous. The majority that I know can’t stand Kingston and want him gone ASAP. They’re jealous of everything TV is and how he’s built our program to be one of the best in the country. They would give anything to have him as their coach. They absolutely hate that he’s ours.

The flash in the pan thing is wrong, and I don't think Tony leaves, but for a lot of people baseball started like 3 years ago and they'll check out as soon as Tomy retires.

And women’s basketball started for USCe fans once Staley got there. Before that their fans didn’t even know they had a women’s basketball team.

I'm not worried about what worked out for who. It's like Kentucky basketball, it's not even worth learning these guys names because they're here today and gone tomorrow.

Guys like Gelanie and Snead, I can understand because they're moving up a level. However power 5 guys who already have established roles are only after one thing. That's the part I can't support. There is no reason for P5 guys to be jumping around like they are.

You seem to be willfully ignoring the multitude of sources that have discussed Amick’s departure from Clemson is due to him not seeing a path forward to playing the field consistently to develop that skill set for the draft. You keep accusing every player of just chasing a bag when you have zero evidence to actually back up that claim.

It's just funny to me. Half the people in here telling me to get lost didn't even know Tennessee had a baseball program 4 years ago. Don't know guys like Zach Godley, Andrew Lee, JP Arencebia..... don't know that TN used to get beat by ETSU on the regular in mid week games.

That and saying “literally” when it’s doesn’t apply. . Example: He literally exploded after his huge freshman season. Drives me crazy.

The past perfect tense could use some help too imo. But I have given up hope because I have seen it abused so often.

I dont like P5 kids jumping like they are because it just creates a team of one year mercenaries. I think it's a terrible environment for college baseball.

Exactly. That was clear in the quote. He said he could play x, y, z; his preference is x; but he would play wherever he was needed. I don't see how some of these things get misunderstood.

Actually a few years afterward. SC wasn’t a powerhouse until Staley’s sixth season. Before then they didn’t have much in the way of attendance even with her there.

Ok let's play your game. Ammick gets drafted and told to play second base, is he just going to take his ball and go home? Cannon is told he's a DH, he gonn quit. Burns going to run when he's told he's a closer at the next level.
It's just another sense of entitlement from this generation. ( Which I am a part of.)

I like the mobility it provides if a player coming out of HS makes the wrong decision.

I speak from experience. I transferred after my freshman year from a school that was not protecting me. Logged way too many innings and started having arm/elbow issues. Back to a school in my hometown. This was back in the day where the coach had to release you from your scholarship. Glad he did.

Transfers are apart of the game now be it baseball, football, men’s and women’s basketball, softball etc. Some people don’t like it. So be it. But it’s a huge part of college sports now and you either have to adapt and learn how to use it to your advantage or you will get left behind.

I think several conference fanbases are still coming to grips with the fact that Coach Vitello and staff have built a baseball program that can compete in the conference at a high level. Our program was downtrodden for so long that it was viewed as an afterthought by many. That's the root of the disdain and jealousy. They can no longer dismiss our program.
