Because one was better than the other at the time.
Maybe he wondered why Dollander didn't get sent to pen or miss a start he wasn't setting the world on fire on the mound around the same time!!!!

Sure! We obviously need all the help we can get. This is what I think we need to do…

Some kind of slingshot contraption that helps them over the hurdle from mid 90’s to high 90’s.
A six week old baby(might need more than one) so we can show em what life COULD really be like. A home plate the size a dollar bill folded and a drunk frat guy to play the part of “Blue” ( might as well get used to it), Finally, a former field goal kicker at the NFL level for mental health.

Feel free to come up with your own ideas, I’m gonna turn my attention to a new project…Shortstop Lab!

Now that’s a high-quality post! Good stuff.

I could bring a few baseballs into my lab and call it a pitching lab if it would help?
Isn’t there a kinesiology lab at UT. I thought Ashley Rodgers did her graduate work in that area. Whatever they have going at WF seems to be working even if it’s only a belief that it is actually an effective approach.

I’ll be glad to talk to Ozzie Smith about the SS lab position. Shoot, if you need my pull with any coaches, I’ll bring in Todd Raleigh, Butch Jones, Jeremy Pruitt….to help get the coaching lab started.

No, no, no, no, no! Donnie Tyndall wants full control, he expressed a deep knowledge and a philosophy that the SS is the point guard of any good baseball team. Also, we get him for cheap, he doesn’t even want a phone(he’s gonna use his mom’s) and he said he would “live at the facility”. It’s a win win, just win baby!

How did nobody ever think of sending CTV to old Jeremy and Butch for some pointers? Also, what is Dooley up to these days? Could we see CTV wearing orange pants and sitting on a stool?

Noticed Ol ernge slacks on the sidelines, avoiding Saban, during the Bama replay last night.
Got a pair of those for Christmas one year…certainly off a clearance bin at Hammers.

Dolly did get demoted by losing the Friday spot in the rotation.

Burns might have wanted a little more explanation than he got? I am sure Vitello and Anderson had more than a few minutes in explaining their reason. I think Burns knew why he went to the pen and so did everyone else. Vitello is very aware about making sure those players know the “why” part to what he does. That was a huge move, and one which Burns had to understand but just didn’t like.
Not sure why it would need an in depth discussion. One look at his results and ERA while starting last year explains it succinctly. Clearly he trusts WF to fix the issue better than TN at this point, I suppose.

I can only speak to my son but he has great communication with Frank, Tony, Que, and Elander. I would say that daily he has a conversation with multiple coaches and staff. Maybe, whoever you are talking to is not a good communicator. When we do the podcast, all of the young men speak very highly of the coaching staff and we have interviewed almost every starter on last year's team. They all talk about having the best coaching staff in the nation. If they could not communicate, then it would have come out. Some times people forget that communication is a two-way street. I would think that most people have communication with others if they want feedback. I cannot believe that the coaching staff does not talk to their players. Even this summer when he is not on campus daily he is still talking to the coaching staff and leadership.
Thank you.

I like it! After the SS lab will be a coaching lab to finally remedy our C+ coaching
Nailed it. And from the inside, so to speak. It's mostly terminology, just like "analytics" are "statistics" rechristened (and of course statistics have grown in sophistication and computing power. Duh).

Everyone will soon be talking about "labs." New words flatter and make people feel cutting edge, especially those who least know but most want to impress. The fundamental research on motion, etc., is not proprietary.
