Wondering if anyone has the same thoughts as me about this so here goes:

I don’t want Holman.

I don’t mind portal, it’s out of my control so no need worrying with it. But Vols have enough good arms who I want to ride with and I don’t want anyone from Bama. Yeah I know Denton worked out but he is a Tennessee kid who was coming home. Holman is some random kid who started at Bama. And it’s not like he’s chase Burns and some can’t miss ace. I hope he goes somewhere else. I know you can never have enough arms but ……..

Am I alone here ?

Maybe,maybe not only thing that we know he got more notoriety at LSU pitching against SEC powerhouse teams..

I gave you a like just because I like some thought process that goes against the grain. But no rational reason I can see a team doesn’t want a talent like Holman. As others have stated, can’t have too many good pitchers especially in the SEC.

I understand and good point. I just can’t be the only Vol fan who has to hold their nose taking anything from Bama. Anybody !?!???

If Holman comes to Tennessee I will obviously support him. Just hard for us all to get used to the new normal of the portal. I guess I’m talking out of both sides of my mouth. I am saying I don’t worry about the portal coming and going, but here I am worrying with it.

To be fair the only the way to intelligently have this conversation is to ask the question who goes if Holman commits?

That Clearly would mean some gets their scholarship pulled

We’ve had 16 departures via the transfer portal and so far we only have 4 portal commits. I highly doubt someone is getting their scholarship pulled if Holman commits.

Love Denton and had no issue at all with him. Difference for me is he’s a kid who grew up in Tennessee. I will always pull for Tennessee kids no matter where they go. I realize not everyone sees it this way and understand this part of my argument might make little sense. But it’s how I feel.

It’s not that I don’t like Holman, don’t know the first thing about him other than two games I watched him pitch this year and looking at his stats. I just don’t like Bama.

I’m just saying the coaches probably know the numbers and with the portal closed now and no avenue for exiting I doubt TV is going to pull the rug out from under a kid at the last second. There is probably an open scholly for Holman if he comes here, and if he doesn’t I bet there have been discussions on who else on the roster will get it.
