I’m more or less referencing the Skenes steroid argument, arguing about posters that don’t get along, and 2024 mock drafts. I appreciate the Holman talk. Leave all that other stuff on Twitter. There really isn’t anything to update. I provided a lengthy update from VQ 2-3 pages back about the only target we’re talking to right now. Once Hollman’s recruitment is over, there probably won’t be anything else to discuss.
Ensley or Chapman in the portal?
If not I wish we could stay on topic.
I understand and good point. I just can’t be the only Vol fan who has to hold their nose taking anything from Bama. Anybody !?!???
If Holman comes to Tennessee I will obviously support him. Just hard for us all to get used to the new normal of the portal. I guess I’m talking out of both sides of my mouth. I am saying I don’t worry about the portal coming and going, but here I am worrying with it.
Regardless, GBO.
If you can't understand that there is a vast difference between conversation about who can play what position arising out of discussion of who might be picked up from the transfer portal and putting those pieces together...and throwing out a random rumor about a former LSU pitcher now with the Pirates out of the blue sky, then going back and forth in a 3-page pissing match about it, then your "wish" should be for some logical reasoning ability.
But I suspect you know the difference.
I have no problem accepting a former Bama player. Just means he came to his senses.
Yes, I think he will visit knoxville this weekend, but those details are still being worked out. Not 100% he makes it in either. Even if he does visit, I wouldn’t expect him to come hereAny interest in Braden Montgomery of Stanford? Probably a round 1 draft pick next year.
LSU lost the pitching coach that developed Skenes. Wes Johnson is now the head coach at Georgia.surely you know that the perception that LSU developed skenes is big with Holman right ??
It’s completely relevant to this portal thread.
If Holman thinks he’s going to get the same 5% jump in measurables that Skenes got he’d be a fool not to go to LSU
“He served with the Twins until the middle of the 2022 season, when he announced on June 26th that he was leaving the team to join the staff of Louisiana State University. On June 5, 2023 as LSU was advancing to the 2023 CWS Super Regionals, Johnson was named head coach of the University of Georgia. He stated he would continue coaching LSU through the post-season.Maybe that is a win for the good guys.
