I’m more or less referencing the Skenes steroid argument, arguing about posters that don’t get along, and 2024 mock drafts. I appreciate the Holman talk. Leave all that other stuff on Twitter.

If you can't understand that there is a vast difference between conversation about who can play what position arising out of discussion of who might be picked up from the transfer portal and putting those pieces together...and throwing out a random rumor about a former LSU pitcher now with the Pirates out of the blue sky, then going back and forth in a 3-page pissing match about it, then your "wish" should be for some logical reasoning ability.

But I suspect you know the difference.

If Holman comes to Tennessee I will obviously support him. Just hard for us all to get used to the new normal of the portal. I guess I’m talking out of both sides of my mouth. I am saying I don’t worry about the portal coming and going, but here I am worrying with it.

I have no problem accepting a former Bama player. Just means he came to his senses.

surely you know that the perception that LSU developed skenes is big with Holman right ??


It’s completely relevant to this portal thread.
If Holman thinks he’s going to get the same 5% jump in measurables that Skenes got he’d be a fool not to go to LSU

True. I appreciate everyone’s input on my unpopular Holman opinion. It’s really just my way of reconciling the portal. Hard to think about pulling against a rival one year then cheering for him the next. All of it is somewhat fascinating and I guess I need to just embrace it. And he’s gotta go somewhere, so may as well be Knoxville. Ok thanks everyone and Go Vols.

Ok back on track when do we expect a Holman announcement?

Yes, I think he will visit knoxville this weekend, but those details are still being worked out. Not 100% he makes it in either. Even if he does visit, I wouldn’t expect him to come here

But obviously if they can get him on a visit those odds go up

LSU lost the pitching coach that developed Skenes. Wes Johnson is now the head coach at Georgia.
