Stipulated — lots of crazy people in California.

But Stanford degree is great, weather is great, beautiful part of the country, college baseball team has been to the CWS each of the last three years (and has a better trophy case in every respect than MSU), the closest “big city” isn’t Tuscaloosa… what in the world am I missing?

Mississippi State has a title in the last 3 years and plays in the best stadium in college baseball, all while playing in the greatest conference in college sports where you’re playing on TV every weekend. It’s close between the two. The only thing Stanford holds the advantage in is the degree and the fact that they’ve made Omaha 3 straight years (haven’t won anything there though). In no world is Stanford “the obvious choice” over State.

Posing a theory, repeatedly, based on rumors, that is injurious to the personal reputation of a college ballplayer is bush league, if not outright slander and smear mongering. You should apologize.

I don’t think these people understand how garbage of a town Starkville is. Arguably the worst college town in America.

Fun fact: Did you know that when you group words together they may have a different or more specific meaning? Like when you add the word rumors to “transfer portal (news and rumors)" it actually means only rumors about the transfer portal.

+ Palo Alto is a gazillion times better place to be than Starkville MS
