Walters State is a juco program and the players have to leave after 2 years no matter what. Walters get kids that are P5 talent. Reason for Juco is they are draft eligible after freshman year. Where as if they go university route it’s 21 or 3 years before draft eligible.Yep!
When it's this bad for the P5 schools just imagine the Walter States of the world.
Zero chance of keeping your best players. At least the P5 schools have a shot.

Who do we consider to be the "biggest portal W possible"? After going back several pages all I've gotten is wet from a golden shower from all the posters engaging in a pissing contest.I literally cannot believe that the prospect of landing arguably the biggest portal W possible is leading to arguing and anger. This could potentially change our entire trajectory offensively. I’m blown away. Keep doing your thing, Tony legend!
Folks may not remember or understand that dynasties and great teams of the past were built on numbers. The Alabama Bear Bryant years and Johnny Majors Pitt national championship had huge rosters built full with depth from talented players. The numbers were insurance against attrition from various reasons. Tony has built wealth and depth in the form of sheer numbers. I feel bad that guys get recruited over, but if they’re not being recruited over, then we will see our team experience lows that will have everyone dissatisfied.Does any successful P5 program only have 35 players at camp in the Fall? Many players can’t handle the demands of the program, College life, or their newly found independence, and will leave on their own. Others aren’t putting in the work or don’t rise to the level of competition so don’t understand why you wouldn’t have several extra players to compete.

I’m older than most on here, and I didn’t (and still don’t) particularly like the environment in college athletics that has so rapidly evolved the last few years. However, it is here to stay and I’m all in….100%. I am going to embrace it, enjoy watching talented kids, and watch TV keep bringing great baseball to we, the fans. We can still recruit high-character kids who are good citizens, and we do, for the most part. It’s simple as this, Tennessee and Tony V wanna keep winning and have championship caliber team, then they have to do what is means necessary to keeps this train rollin. Don’t like it. Don’t watch. Simple as that.

I don’t disagree with that.we also have to remember that the shiny best flavor of the portal month isn’t always what’s best …while a current roster player might be ..
Stories like this kid are going to less and less and I think that’s why many can’t get on board with the portal environment.

Right. No one in the history of the world has ever disagreed with that.I don’t disagree with that.
