This is what makes him happy.

Yea likes getting others irritate is a game to the poster 😏

Reading his bio makes me believe he may be leaving there for similar reasons burns is leaving here.

it appears to me his draft status doesn’t want to be labeled a 1st basemen

Speaking of Burns. I haven't seen any reports on Twitter from the college baseball connected folks about him visiting any schools.

Walters State is a juco program and the players have to leave after 2 years no matter what. Walters get kids that are P5 talent. Reason for Juco is they are draft eligible after freshman year. Where as if they go university route it’s 21 or 3 years before draft eligible.

Walters State (Shelton) will not play freshman unless they are super studs. Half or most Walters State players will be there 3 years capitalizing on their 2nd and 3rd year. Then they will transfer to a D1 if worthy.

I said it earlier but Amick wants to play 3B and Clemson wants him at 1B/DH. It’s not NIL. At least not only.

That makes sense on his part for sure

however we better be careful thinking he’s the answer at 3rd under these circumstances. He may be a DH in Knoxville as well

It’s amazing how may of their guys redshirt. Hard to believe in this day and age

I’m sure Tony knows that. I’m sure if someone outperforms Amick in Fall ball at 3B that person will play. Tony has already shown he puts the team first over the individual, just look at Burns who we lost over that fact.

I’m fairly confident that if we land Amick the job won’t automatically be his if he doesn’t perform to our standard. If a freshman comes in and sets the world on fire, you will see him at 3B.

Hope you are correct but I don’t think the kid we had in the lead off spot deserved to hold on to that all Season either.

Btw speaking of Walters state has Backus entered the portal ?

So it's okay for a coach to recruit over a kid, but it's not okay for a kid to take his talent elsewhere?

If you're so unhappy, just do as you say and quit watching. Why even post on VN? If all of this makes you so unhappy and miserable, find something that doesn't.
Because I love ball always have, love watching games with my family, but I absolutely hate what something I love has become.

Ahuna? Another example of people being way too hard on him. He batted right at 0.300 for the season. I don’t think Jaslove or Kendro would have been any better. Did he live up to our lofty expectations? Maybe not. But he certainly was a lot better than people have given him credit for.

Im not saying he should have been benched but he just didn’t perform well as a lead off guy imo. I’d moved him down the order. His approach at the plate didn’t fit the mold of a leadoff guy imo

It’s been said here he was promised that spot in the lineup.

Quinn Mathews is in the portal, but it’s almost certainly just a “keep your options open” entry. I still think he ends up going pro.

He had good AB's later in the season.

He wasn’t in the Leadoff spot all year though. He was taken out of the spot quite a few times when he wasn’t producing. No one claimed it or rose up to take the job.

Yea @PYSCHO ask who else was better.. and that’s a Great question. I just didn’t like how few of pitches he saw and obviously the strike out total was way too high. I’d have to look closer at the metrics of pitches per AB and such before I said but Ensley would be my first choice as his freebie/K ratio was damn near 1/1

I think it's the strikeouts that frustrated many. I believe he lead the team in Ks or at least he did for most of the season.
