Ahuna? Another example of people being way too hard on him. He batted right at 0.300 for the season. I don’t think Jaslove or Kendro would have been any better. Did he live up to our lofty expectations? Maybe not. But he certainly was a lot better than people have given him credit for.
Jaslove tries hard and is a pretty good SS in the field, but he hits like Cal Stark.

Yea @PYSCHO ask who else was better.. and that’s a Great question. I just didn’t like how few of pitches he saw and obviously the strike out total was way too high. I’d have to look closer at the metrics of pitches per AB and such before I said but Ensley would be my first choice as his freebie/K ratio was damn near 1/1
Eh, I think the K's are a philosophy thing. When you take the hacks the Vols do you're gonna strike out a lot.

I played well over 30 years ago for the Big Orange..........

I never got to know the names of the walk-on's each Fall because it was a waste of my time.....

We might have kept 1 in 4 years.......and I got work to do to get ready to play SEC ball in a few months....
Is it even feasible to compare 30 years ago to today's game. I don't think so.

Ahuna will play in Majors due to his glove playing SS,reminds me of Walt Weiss with the A's great defender and a timely hitter.

Oh man . I don’t think he’s a good defensive guy. He fielded better at the end of the year but .961 isn’t very good especially on turf

He fielded under .950 last year. He’s not a good fielder

Maybe having second thoughts

After the beating he's taken from "Vol Nation", he may think twice about returning and I wouldn't blame him.

He's 20 years old and the names I've seen him called are disgusting. Grown men & women lashing out nasty names. I remember watching grown men about 60+ years old cursing and thrashing our pitchers in the bullpen at Arkansas after the Hogs beat us. Our guys were simply cleaning up their stuff. Apparently, these "fans" don't have a kid in the fight so they wouldn't know.

I asked this before

Is the NIL group representing a program tampering when they do all the work??

I’m assuming they aren’t unless they were directed to do so by the coaches. If so you could never prove any of this

Too many strike outs for leadoff. Still a very solid player good glove and range after he got is back straighten out.
