Portal is crazy this year. They have to do something about this soon. Not just with the timing but with the unlimited nature of it. Whether that is by changing NIL to pay for play, which it already is, but making it official so they can sign contracts or…reinstituting some limits

Look at what Florida is dealing with. Their biggest boosters are refusing to give to NIL. Some are holding money in escrow to buy out Billy's contract whenever that becomes necessary. Others don't want any of their money going to NIL based on 'principle' (which is really just saying you preferred when players were slaves). This is going to continue to be a problem for Florida even if they replace Napier. Who is going to want that job when this is the reality they would be facing?

note: I think these are in reverse order. The second is supposed to be read first. Not sure how to fix it.

They got free schooling and everything else associated with being a college athlete in the past

That tells you that the big money boosters at Florida wanted Napier fired, and they still want him fired.

Absolutely and also something about the power balance between the boosters and the UAA. Obviously the boosters couldn't get Napier fired. That whole structure in the UAA there is a nightmare of corruption.

Tons of others who didn’t get that would have really appreciated it
