You are seeing what happens when young adults have more power, they act like toddlers and forget how much more was invested in them then what they are paid

Need a ruling body for a cap. And players likely need to be determined as employees.

Bc if schools get together and just say they’re gonna cap it then they’ll be sued for collusion. And they’ll lose.

This. Players’ constitutional rights have been infringed upon for way too long, and the correction of that shouldn’t be blamed for this chaos. It’s the failure of the NCAA not figuring things out years ago and getting a reasonable and constitutional system in place.

Players were never not getting paid
They got a ton of **** no other student got

But yes they should’ve got paid a bunch also bc they made the money for the ncaa but let’s not act like they were playing for free

I know he was a very good punt returner - DB on pass defense not so much. What are the long term plans for Boo? Any thoughts of using him as slot receiver or running back? Offense could use a spark and some playmakers IMO.

From what I heard the plan was to use him on offense some next season. I also they had a package for him in the playoff game but obviously once the game got out of hand they scrapped it.

Based upon past legal challenges and arguments, won’t surprise me to see a challenge to the cap on eligibility (e.g., placing a cap impacts a player’s ability to make $, so as long as the player is a “student,” they should be able to play).

You’re right in many cases, especially at top tier programs. But, many of those benefits were under the table.. The main distinctions is that players weren’t allowed to freely pursue top market value for their talent and influence which was overdue. Now prob gotta end up going super conferences with 30-40 teams total and a players union while the other 100 schools return to a more familiar version of college athletics.

Good information-thanks. Personally, I would rather see him on offense since he is so dynamic with the ball in his hands. Our play calling is so predictable, though, it probably wouldn’t make any difference.

Same dascoop had the RB Mahdi on a visit here a couple weeks ago and whoopsie it was “cancelled” lol. Fairly sure he had Arion going to the portal exactly the same as this Boo post and never happened either.

While I agree the guy looks like a good back, if you use your previous criteria, maybe he's not the guy we are looking for. Against the better teams his numbers weren't great.
