Just a thought....... With all the turmoil and turnover we've had at the wr position I think the reason we haven't hit the portal there was likely to let things settle down, make sure all our ducks were in a row with current players first.

Y'all may not be a big fan of squirrel but with how little we return I find it hard to believe we wanted or encouraged him to leave.

For Nico's development this is horrible news. Breaking in a completely new wr room, having to get in sync and timing with new wr's.

If I take a step back and look at it through his eyes I could understand him contemplating making a move this off season. I think it very likely there was serious from Nico and his family about leaving. The MM situation kind supports this as well.

Wild times, I think we came very close to wheels completely coming off.

Smh it’s criminal how little we got Matthew’s on the field. I don’t care what the excuse was. He had the type of tenacity that warranted a designed play.

I don’t Care if he didn’t know the entire playbook, get him 3-5 plays and let those be his.

It’s like saying Jamal Lewis shouldnt play as a freshman bc he didn’t know all the protections smh smh smh

Yet he did play. People are acting like he had 5 snaps for the season. He was also injured, IIRC, and missed time.

There’s only a finite number of reps—are we taking those away from upperclassmen? Is MM going to hold this program hostage because he didn’t get the reps he think he should get?

He’s going to be the clear WR1 next year. If that’s not good enough for him, he can hit the road—there’s plenty of WR in the portal.

Very slim chance he or Madden got an audience with the visiting team's people while visiting UCLA. Only if an Oregon person stalked them to their hotel and had a chat after lol

I believe about half of what he posted is true or close enough to it. I believe the Brazell info, and MM info. There were some other basics I believe are true as well. I didn't believe the Nico stuff at all. That's not how his family does business.

I believe there was probably a meeting with Nico, his fam and our staff to ask what plans were and to air out concerns....... But that's about as far as I think that went.

My personal doubts about Pope and Elarby make me believe that MM and others probably have doubts...... But again, that because I do.

Again I don’t know the numbers for certain. But If you’re the staff and are hearing that branch is looking for 2-3 million and you’re having a hard time getting Mike Matthews 1 million you might not even try.

Lots of stuff goes on behind the scenes so we really don’t know either they may have already done that and decided that it’s not possible or he may only want to look at certain schools.
