When a player like Matthews does what is alleged… at the midnight hour hold the program hostage for more cash… that player might be retained but the program has no allegiance to him.

When college athletes start to “conduct business” like a “professional” then I think coaches have to take the professional, NFL approach.

Find the best guy in the portal you can and give the portal guy a chance to beat him out.

If I’m the coaches and guys are wanting renewed contracts every offseason, I’m not longer concerned about their feelings or making them comfortable. Go sign anyone and everyone from the portal that you can and if it scares them off… so be it.

These guys aren’t kid amateurs anymore.

Negavols and Drama vols are prevalent rn. I’m disappointed in the WR situation rn especially if Mike truly leaves but this program is in a much better spot than it used to be.

I think there’s a lot of over reaction and we have to remember it’s out of our control. We can donate to NIL and we can be good fans besides that it’s mostly up to coaches and admin.

Worth bringing in if it's a package with his brother. If Zion fizzles at safety, try him at LB.

Truthfully, it might benefit to recruit Zion separately from Zach. Make him feel wanted and make him want to come to Tennessee. If they truly are a package deal, Zion would eat it up and could sway Zach here. And Zion could be a good safety. Hard to tell when he was playing on a crappy USC team.

Zion is the older and larger of the two, and may have sway over his little brother.
However, something that might be of concern for our staff is, Zion has been injury prone, including missing his entire freshman season (2022) with a knee injury.

I mean, we took Nate Spillman to get Edwin. Nate was never going to be a factor at UT. I’d be shocked if he ever plays meaningful snaps at an FBS school. Zion is certainly better take than Nate.

Just not that large - not that many folks live in ND. Might have changed recently, but Fargo is the only recognizable name city I’ve ever flown into that didn’t any terminals. Planes parked on the runway and you had to walk over to the airport building.

Where in tri cities do you live, if you don’t mind me asking? I don’t care to share that I’m from Bristol. Always nice meeting a fellow tri cities native. I also think you mentioned have a 5 year old in another post. I’ve got a 6 year old girl and 3 year old son. My son is wilder than a feral alley cat while my daughter is the calm, introvert. It’s a nice combo.

Even GSP where I live has terminals and I consider it a small airport. The “international” designation is only because it has direct flights to Germany because BMW’s biggest plant is down the road from it

To be fair that QB deserved 8mil.

Nico got 8, so why not that kid? As far as talent, stats, etc. he’s pretty on par with Nico.
