Is this an insider? I never saw these posts.

I've seen his posts for many years now and my impression is that he isn't. He'll post like he's an insider, but the track record isn't great.

I will chose to judge the staff when the portal is done.

There are still teams playing and players to go into portal.

@KingVFL keeps trying to tell people this but some people just refuse to listen. Look at his posts.

UT only has a few spots abailable, it appears they are targeting a handful they really want not just because someone who appears good that goes into portal but doesn’t fit what they want.

Some people just don’t have the stomach for watching sausage being made and just need to sit on the front porch until the breakfast sausage is done.

Good points but I would just caution that in today’s climate of NIL it’s way more than just the staff and their ability to get players. In my opinion it’s way more about which collective has the biggest budget. I think ours is pretty good but probably not top shelf.

There’s a slot guy we like quite a bit that I think we’ll go after.. very productive guy. I’d guess his name emerges sooner.

There a big time outside guys that I think we’ll go all in on but doubt we hear his name for a bit.

MM leaves- staff fail

Oline is currently incredibly unproven and doesn't look like we are in any hurry to replace starters or upgrade... Fail pending. You thought Nico was running for his life this season...well.

Either Heup and staff are finally showing they may not be it, we are broke which would be scary, or they are working backchannels quietly but fiercely and gonna get some studs.

All we can go by is today... and as of today, it ain't looking pretty.

It’s funny that it has to be a secret about the guys we are going after. In the world of NIL everything is out in the open but it seems like when it comes to us it’s always some conspiracy theory

It’s a pretty major FAIL if we lose MM. He was the gem of the 2024 offensive recruiting class and we just let him get away a year later? That’s a lot of wasted resources used to land him initially. There’s no way to spin this one.

I guess "spin" is, 'Welcome to the new NCAAF landscape; UT isn't immune.'

Is there a reason Tennessee’s portal activity is always top secret? It’s like this every year it seems. On VQ and 247, you maybe get an update every couple of days if that. You look at other teams boards and they daily updates. I don’t understand why Tennessee’s is so secretive.

I saw a coach lastweek saying they won't even follow recruits on twitter until they make an offer, just b/c they don't want to put someone on the shark frenzy's radar.

I never heard anyone use terms like lock........ But there was dialogue and confidence we could work it out...... Apparently MM decided he didn't want to be here any longer.

This makes it believable the comment made here that there was a rift between Pope and Matthews personally. By all accounts, we have $$$ to spend in the portal and would match whatever other schools are throwing at MM. Makes me think he just isnt gonna play for Pope anymore. Could be wrong...just a hunch.

I think it's smart to to have a one way door when it comes to the portal. If you leave you better dam well be sure you don't want to be here.

Me too. Even with MM and other 5* guys. If you are a VFL, you don't enter the portal. That RB situation at Arkansas was ridiculous...never want to be like them.

I am certain that AP will gladly eat a little crow on that one. In fairness, he did say. " IF he enters the portal in the morning, chances are slim to none that he stays."
