Well if they are still playing then we probably will have to wait until they either lose or win the natty. I know, it sucks waiting!! If you are like me you're constantly clicking the forum throughout the day hoping for some good news, but mostly getting your hopes shot down with nothing new to see except a bunch of stuff that has nothing to do with the thread.

As much as I’ve cried for a RB and WR, I actually wouldn’t mind using the rest of our NIL budget on this kid and Pregnon. Talk about a loaded OL

Wonder if Heard could slide over to RT, not sure if that would help much at all.

If I had to guess, if he's not a starting LT, he's a problem in the locker room. Load up on the line and let the cream rose to the top. Everyone else can move along and free up NIL money. Sure, we might have an injury and get stuck between a rock and a hard place, but the NIL/free agency won't permit building depth. It is what it is.

It seems to me we are using the funds on maintaining the roster and maybe that strategy will work as opposed to using the portal as a free agent system. I guess we will see which method works the best

Maybe he has. At least I'm hoping. Hopefully these other teams playing are where our portal transfers come from and we can then all rest. Idk. Just hoping for big things to come. Just hate waiting!!

Also funny how you failed to mention that Andrew Mukuba (#29) has been more of an impact player at Safety than Caleb Downs (#1).

Ask any coach, any scout and they would all rather have downs lol. Downs is a top 5 defensive player in the country and will be a top pick in his draft

Eh, not exactly the same. Barnes’ staff has done it with great evaluation, but DK, Chaz, and Igor were all mid-major players. Some of these football guys are going from one major P4 school to another.

Would really like to have this guy but I'd guess he will have several suitors in line if not one already. Probably gets more than what Thompson got, imo.

He is not a great player, but he is a true LT and better than what many teams have already on roster. He is an Ohio kid and Ohio State has reached out to him. I have no idea if Vols have contacted him

This is nonsense. There should be asterisks next to Oregon's B1G Championship and Ohio State's National Championship(if they win it) clearly pointing out that Dillon Gabriel was #77 and Will Howard #41 in their portal class.

I can't believe Dillon Gabriel wasn't number 1 in the portal. Like, did people not watch him in his college career? I don't care if he doesn't have starting NFL level talent, DG can ball. If we didn't have Nico, I would have went all in on DG last off-season.
