Might be a little easier now.
Who they have at QB next season to throw him the ball? Any new kid that starts will look Smith’s way about 99.9% of the time.
Greater chance he has less yards next season.
New QB.Less yards there than here and I’ll buy it but barely. He’d be #2 WR there bc Egbuka is a Sr so highly doubt less yards than this year
My Buckeye fanatic friend says he doesn't think it makes sense for Tate as he would be the #2 with a highly touted 5* Sayin likely the starter and would be surprised. Let's hope he is in fact surprised.
He would immediately be WR1 here. He would be WR2 up there, unless they bring in an elite playmaker, which is possible . I think what helps us is, they will be breaking in a new QB. Unless they have their eye on someone that we haven't heard yet. Nobody on our roster would be ahead of him, nor is anyone more talented.I know nothing of the situation but my confidence meter is 2/10. Not bc of our staff or any stupid sh*t like that but bc he’ll be WR2 next year and is currently celebrating a NC.
If this actually happens tho then a lot of yans gonna look silly for all the hate.

Sayin being equal or better than what Howard was right away would be unlikely. And the #1 WR for Heisman favorite Nico is better than a #2 WR for a QB who is an unknown right now. Let's recall that Kyle McCord was a consensus 5 star as well and he struggled his first year in Columbus so bad that Ohio State went out and got Will Howard.
Maybe struggle wasn't the right word. But he certainly didn't light it up for them. His numbers were very similar to Milton's despite playing a weaker schedule if that tells you anything.I agree about the new QB thing but not really about McCord. McCord had been on campus for 3 years, completed 65% of his passes for 3100 yards, 24 TD / 6 INT. Not mobile but he didn’t exactly struggle.
Exactly my thoughts. He likes to get attention but probably ultimately stays at OSU. Of course if Hartline is looking at other jobs maybe there’s a chance. Definitely don’t fault the staff for swinging for the fences though.I really hope we didn't put all our eggs into the Carnell Tate basket...especially with how his recruitment went here
lol equal or better than Howard? Howard was pretty damn fantastic in the post season. I don’t see that.Sayin being equal or better than what Howard was right away would be unlikely.
