TIFWIW...read it again...TIFWIW...but Basilio is saying that Sampson is considering a return but wants big $. Also says Boo Carter's "team" has made it clear he will be expensive to retain. Also said Jermod McCoy will likely be looking for a bigger payday.
College football is a freaking clown show. And people made fun of Saban for retiring. lol. Imagine having to deal with diva crap like this every year.

Let’s just invite BooCarterMom back onto the board and get the answers directly from her. Just make sure you don’t compare Boo to previous All-Pro players.
I mean a lot of these parents are super protective of their kids and honestly it’s hard to blame them. A lot of people try to use their kids to get money or status or whatever. Some handle that pressure and the process better than others. Pretty much though best policy for every parent is to stay off message boards and social media groups. Just more bs and stress than it’s worth.

It is a mess. Luckily there is a staff in place and the coaches know what type of NIL budget they have and what value they put on position/talent. There's going to be a lot of twist and turns but we have the right people and right resources to come out in a good position

It may be a clown show, but you can’t deny this has been one of the most fun/chaotic football seasons in a while.

Every team seems pretty equal, where as the last 10+ years you just had Bama or OSU just kicking the **** out of everyone else.

To me, more teams feel competitive now.

I completely understand being a protective parent. Your children should always be your priority.

She did come in here guns blazing though and looking to fight with posters lol.

Hope not. I hope we pay up, but at what point do we hit the ceiling? We can't just continue to drop bigger bags to every good player, so I guess we will have to make some tough choices.
Tyler Barron from last year. Depends how much they want, who we have behind them, and if they are really worth the hassle/bag.

League minimum is 800k if that tells you anything. If he's drafted before the 6th round, he's making over 900k in year 1, with a 4 year guaranteed contract of at least 4.4 million.
That's assuming he makes the team, yearly there's players drafted late that are lucky to make the practice squad, let alone the 53 man roster. There's no guaranteed money in the NFL either, he can be cut on a whim and walk with only his signing bonus.

It's increased the parity. Now we just need standardized schedules and a to fix the playoffs and we have the NFL lite. It's not the CFB we all fell in love with but it will be a better product week to week.

Would be huge. Replacement for Big O.
Looks like he was highly recruited, but is he a good college football player? I didn't watch them play, but he ranks 6th among UNC defensive linemen in tackles and he recorded 0 sacks. Based on nothing more than stats, it seems like he's UNC's 3rd or 4th best DT.

I think he's a space eater, but I don't truly know. That said, here are Big O's stats:

Very similar to Shaw's. Shaw had 22 tackles. Big O had 21. Shaw had 0 sacks. Big O had 1.
