Uga has 4 5star RBs on the roster. Travis Etienne, branson r, Roderick r, Nate Frazier. Plus others. Can you (or someone else) explain to me how they’re able to attract that type of talent given how loaded the backfield is? I just don’t get it.I would say that's a safe assumption.
Would be very surprising if he comes back to me.
Georgia imo.
I think "currently" is the key word here. Our starting group is pretty strong going into next season and there is a chance one of our guys in the portal changes his mind. So I don't think there is an urgency to find a WR currently like there is at other positions. To me that's not exactly a bad thing (not taking a WR). Assuming that means the coaches feel good about the position.
Other than being a legacy, I don't see him landing in Athens. The legacy tag did not impact him when he went to Alabama. Ohio State or Michigan could be threat destinations.Uga has 4 5star RBs on the roster. Travis Etienne, branson r, Roderick r, Nate Frazier. Plus others. Their QB just isn’t that good.I know you normally bring recruiting / transfer updates but how do you feel about the game Saturday? @KingVFL?
I don’t know if we’ll get Haynes (though I hope we do!), but the pitch from UGA is getting to play in a pro-style offense behind consistent lines while not taking too many hits. Haynes has already shown that he’s physically gifted enough for the NFL and doesn’t need to be a featured back. Many NFL teams play 2-3 backs, so working in a rotation with NFL passing concepts can be attractive.Uga has 4 5star RBs on the roster. Travis Etienne, branson r, Roderick r, Nate Frazier. How they do it year after year is beyond me.I don’t know if we’ll get Haynes (though I hope we do!), but the pitch from UGA is getting to play in a pro-style offense behind consistent lines while not taking too many hits. We’re competitive on the NIL front, too. And his dad is a Georgia legend.
From a numbers standpoint, Etienne should go pro this year. Branson has been hurt, Roderick has played in only one game. Phillips and Bowens are still young and may not pan out. Our main target at RB flipped to FSU. Frazier will be the main returning guy. We normally have 5 in the rotation.
He could play anywhere. We came in second during his high school recruitment.
Oddly, UGA has had a bit of a dry spell with running backs. The 2022 and 2023 teams featured Kenny McIntosh, Kendall Milton, and Daijun Edwards. They’re good backs, but they aren’t like Nick Chubb, Sony Michel, or Deandre Swift. How they do it year after year is beyond me.
