Potential shipping strike on the East Coast.

breaking up ILA, or other major unions, doesn't mean NO unions. it just means no unions of a certain scale. If the scale of the union would be considered a monopoly as a corporation it shouldn't be allowed as a union.

they could still belong to unions representing some large scale number, but controlling the entire east coast is definitely a monopoly. we would never allow a single corporation to own all those docks.
But we do allow it, three super corps own everything in America

Crossing a picket line is not a good idea. I have no illusions that the ILA would not get violent with scabs.
Then hold those unions accountable, if their members hurt people or destroy property fine them big money, suspend them from representing in that location for a determined amount of time, hold the organizers accountable for the people they lead, where you can prosecute the individuals and make it legal for them to engage in union activity in the future. There should be consequences for illegal activity on the individual level, but the organizers call for and advocate for that as well. Make them pay.

We crossed picket lines several times during the teamsters strike against a certain package delivery company and UAW lines during the last Peterbilt strike.

Generally found union members to be all bark and no bite.

My mom was in the Teamsters, they went on strike... she would get her lawn chair and go out sit on the corner by the terminal for a few hours a day. LOL

I mean people are trying to tell people at the bottom what they should be making and doing.
But they aren't on the bottom, not even close.

I'm aware of the teamsters, I know there have been cases on violence and property destruction. Both are illegal but they happen and no one ever saw anything and unless you can name your attacker finding them it's impossible.

I think this happened a lot prior to social media. I doubt it flies today. As soon as someone gets attacked, it would be on camera phone and the Union would start to take heat.

It does still happen though......... during the last strike at the GM plant in Spring Hill I know of two vehicles that were vandalized with the people behind the wheel causing damage that resulted in the vehicles having to go to the dealership.

Of course the people responsible couldn't be identified because the union mob had "no idea" who they were

Just take a picture and find them on social media. As stated, it is getting to where isolated crime is going to be difficult to perpetuate.

Unions have definitely outlived their usefulness in a lot of issues. I believe in the concept of a Union and NLRA but I definitely don't like how it has been practiced in modern America.

Exactly a bunch of usually fat blowhards, teamsters one of the most corrupt unions in the country. F'm!

People make 10s of millions, 100s of millions, billions and 10s of billions... in some cases 100s of billions... yes they are the bottom.
