I managed to get a ticket to Villa Park last night on my way back down to London from Newcastle the night before.

Very good game, and a fantastic atmosphere. Probably a top five English ground IMO. The fans were loud and have lots of specific to Villa songs, and their version of Allez Allez Allez is great. The only small mark against it is the fact that it’s a long way from the city center in Birmingham, so you either have to walk a couple miles or take a packed train post-match.

Even though he’s past his prime, Coutinho is incredible to watch in person. Kind of the same feeling I got watching Eden Hazard in that every time he touches the ball you expect to see something amazing.

That’s awesome! Thanks for the picture.

I’m glad you got to see an entertaining game, even if the result wasn’t in Villas favor. Gave up some dumb goals and Konsa had an idiotic moment on the second yellow.

Wow, nice goal by Liverpool, off a corner header that got saved, barely and was volleyed in, by Jota. Dude (Van Dijk) got mad power on that header

Didn’t even realize this was going on, wondered why Arsenal/Chelsea match was canceled today.

It’s weird timing, being that EPL is still playing but you have to fit it in somehow in the calendar year. It’s been on FS1/FS2 but the coverage has been pretty poor.

It’s fun to get another trophy, and it’s one Chelsea has never won, so that’s been cool. Chelsea joins Man United and Liverpool as the only two English teams to win it. Move on quickly though because the seasons far from over. Champions League round of 16 starts next week.

It was originally supposed to be in mid-December and played in Japan. A winding road of postponements and selecting a new host is why they are just now playing it.

Glad I was at church this morning and not watching Villa lose to freaking Newcastle
Still deserved a point from the game. Cut down by yet another questionable VAR decision.

Also of note from the game, apparently Trippier was seen after the match with a walking boot and crutches. Seeing as he’s almost single-handedly dragging Newcastle out of the relegation zone, that could be significant if it’s a long-term injury.

Big blow. 4 points clear of relegation zone but they’ll be trying to stay there without Trippier.

His loss hurts, but honestly they’ve probably already saved themselves this past week. Now four points clear of the drop with a game in hand. As much as I wanted to see them go down, it doesn’t look very realistic at this point. Norwich, Watford and Burnley are awful.

I'm pumped for the Champions League games, today. I like PSG and Man City, I know they are the favorites, still will make a nice little parlay. Hoping Bale plays a little in the 2nd half for Real Madrid (who I'm for, if I wasn't betting)

I took a Liverpool/Bayern Munich (+190) parlay, today. I wanted to take Lewandowski to score 2 goals, but the odds were lower than the parlay odds, which is mind blowing, imo
