Chelsea now allowed to sell Champions League and FA Cup tickets to home fans. Home EPL games they are allowed to have season ticket holders and away fans, but no individual tickets sold for home fans.

Sure, Russia may be banned from competing in any sort of UEFA competitions right now, but that hasn’t stopped them from submitting a bid to host either the 2028 or 2032 Euro. I imagine this was in the works long before the war in Ukraine kicked off, but it still looks like madness. Personally hope the UK/Ireland bid wins it for ‘28. By then it will have been over three decades since a major tournament was staged there.

Several more teams are going to book a place in the WC today. Would love to see North Macedonia find a way past Portugal. The three horse race for the South American play-in spot could be interesting tonight. Probably the strangest scenario is with Morocco. If they draw with Congo at 2-2 or greater, they would miss out due to the away goals rule without having lost a single qualifying match.

Everybody talking about the Portugal/Italy match and how one would be left out. Would love to see North Macedonia knock ‘em both out.

Unreal. Good luck finding every last pointer but it was so obvious I’m surprised the refs didn’t put a pause on the match until they could at least put a dent in the amount of lasers being pointed. I wanted Senegal to advance but man, that’s brutal. I mean the way that Salah missed his penalty made me think the lasers definitely had an effect on him.

Either that or he’s spent the past few weeks training at the Kepa Arrizabalaga School For PK’s. Obviously a lot of people managed to actually point them right at his face, but look at the ground all around the box during his run up, there’s literally hundreds of them dancing around.

Idk. I think it can definitely have some advantages to the bigger clubs, no doubt. I think it’s safer overall tho which is more important. When you are playing 60+ games (if you make it to the end of every cup you play in plus regular EPL table) then that’s really rough on the players.. only to then have the shortest off-season of most sports because of summer tournaments with their National teams. Plus I think every other league, or most other leagues, already switched to 5 subs.
