Incredible result for Everton.

This changes the calculation for what we need to happen in the Leeds/Watford game today. Two points off Leeds with a game in hand, but six clear of Watford. Leeds losing and pulling another team into the relegation scrap might be useful.

Take a breathe, Everton fans. That’s a much needed 3 points.

Ajax is fun to watch, so maybe Man United hiring their manager will be a good signing, but still think they absolutely **** the bed with not jumping on hiring Conte when they had the chance. Especially when you see how well Spurs have turned around their season.

Everton now have 10 days to rest, and hopefully get Yerry Mina healthy. Meanwhile our next opponent, Leicester, play Palace tomorrow followed by traveling to Eindhoven mid-week and Newcastle next weekend before playing us at Goodison. Hopefully they’ll be exhausted by then.

There is hope for the Blues. Hopefully we can build some much needed confidence off this win. Pickford with an absolute excellent game today.

We’re a different team with Allan in the midfield. Doucoure isn’t quite as secure with the ball, and Gomes can’t, or won’t, match his work rate. We were fortunate to overcome his sending off and beat Newcastle, but that ridiculous red card being upheld and him being suspended three games killed us. If he and Delph can keep up what they provided today, I think we’ll find the points to stay up.

Injuries have unfortunately put Arsenal’s top 4 aspirations in serious jeopardy.
