Maybe it was a business decision to rely so heavily on one segment and believe the tax dollars would continue to flow
Sure but it's really no different than other choices on who to do business with. I know my company has gotten rid of customers and closed facilities around the country.let's take that "business choice" to it's logical conclusion. If you say, screw it we won't take government money you are likely going to have to fire people. If you say okay we'll abide by the mandate and some employees won't comply then you have to fire people.
hard to say there isn't a causal link between the mandate and job loss

I've repeatedly made the distinction between private and govt. There just happen to be many links with all the money our govt gives awayit's still job loss due to the mandate - that's the point
the mandate is leading to firings; no way around that. you can argue that it doesn't matter but that doesn't change the fact it's happening
No I said private sector. Govt mandates are going to happen and they will be enforced. I have never argued that
Fire those scummy government stooges!!!call me crazy but this quote from you sure sounds like you are arguing that any job losses from mandates so far are NOT the result of government mandates but instead private business mandates
"If these govt mandated wholesale firings at private businesses were happening wouldn't we all know it? I mean, this is the worst act in US history but didn't make the evening news?"
A local soda distributor who supplies a local army base in addition to all their other civilian business is subject to the government mandate as of Sept 9. They can lose the business (and fire people) or comply (and fire people who won't get the jab).
