Owning the rights to their music is basically a license to print money, when that much money is involved, foul play can be expected. I'm not saying I believe it but it's certainly plausible.
Unequivocally a musical genius. Although all of his work speaks for itself, this performance of Musicology on Leno just before that tour is one of my favorites. It's a wonderful showcase of his songwriting, showmanship, and musicianship. I'll never forget that show at Thompson Boling!

Am I the only person that just doesn't care that much about Prince?
I find people that need to comment how much they don't care about something fascinating.
Is it ego that drives this?
...to be the one person in a crowd on black friday yelling "go home to your families!"?
I commented about it because I find it fascinating that people are physically in pain over his death, I guess I just didn't get his music or influence. Now when Dave Matthews passes away, I will go into shock while the rest of the world won't give a **** lol. So I guess I can understand

A very memorable sports segment. Nashville TV anchor Dan Phillips claims he lost his job after he incorporated Prince lyrics into an April 21 on-air broadcast in tribute to the late singer.
The former WZTV Fox-17 anchor made as many references to the pop icon as possible in the four-minute sports segment. As seen in the video, he recapped the last minutes of the Anaheim Ducks beating the Nashville Predators in the NHL playoffs by referencing Princes song "1999." The clock hits 00:00. Oops, out of time. Its the Ducks who are going to party like its 1999, he said.
