Kamara listed his leaders as Bama and UGa. Both are flush at RB. Sec pride suggests I root for them to continue to hoard top recruits. GO SEC......

Buck Fama. If they never won again it would make me happy. Gators too. Seeing the 2 of them in the SEC championship both undefeated with a BCS Championship berth on the line was one of the worst days I ever had

And watching you try to "reason" with just us common folk lets me know all I need to know. Anyone in their right mind doesn't pull for a rival. Ask a former player or fan with half a brain and they would never want to see a rival win. That's just plain stupid. They can't lose enough.

If you're good enough, you don't need help from any team. You take care of your own business. To hell with the rest of them.

Maybe it stems from where in the country I live. I'm south of DC on a navy base that employs people from colleges all across the nation, meaning there's a heavy, and I mean HEAVY, dose of Big XII, B1G, and especially ACC alumni. It pleases me to see their conferences get put to shame by the SEC.

I have a particular hatred for the ACC after living here. $hitty-ass football, but these people act like the GT-VT game tomorrow is the biggest game on the docket this week.

You wouldn't believe the amount of texts I got from VT co-workers proclaiming ACC dominance because Clemson beat Auburn. They're convinced Auburn is a top 4 SEC team because they're a year removed from the national title, regardless of what they did last year.

Ugh. Effing Auburn. Just take care of business and shut these ACC clowns up.

At least my Vols torched NCSt so I've got a few bullets in the chamber.

So you want Bama to be winless by the time we get to them? So it doesn't mean anything if we beat them? Again. Stupidity. I want Bama to be among the best out there so that when we beat them it A) stings more to them and B) makes us national contenders

I don't give a damn what Bama has done before they get to our game. I care about what UT does. You can only control your own destiny.

In the entire UT-Bama history, when has Bama ever been winless going into the game? Look that up and get back to us. It's pointless to care what Bama has done before they get to the UT game. Based on past history, chances are good that they are going to have a good record. It really doesn't matter if I hope they lose every game or some UT fan hopes they've won every game (as dumb as that sounds). All UT can control is what they do. Any win over Bama is a good win. I don't care what their record is. I'll never take a Bama win for granted.

And there is the
problem with all of this pull for the SEC bullcrap. You act like the Vols win is an afterthought, or is somehow diminished because Auburn lost. Who cares what they did. We won and that's all that matters

That's not what I'm saying, but I agree.

People up here don't are about Tennessee, so I'll get hammered tomorrow with Penn State talk, and somewhere in there someone will say "I guess since you're wearing orange Tennessee won?"

These same people were telling me how good NCSt was last Thursday, didn't even bother to look up a score.

It's just arguing with illogical and irrational people. It's frustrating and damn near impossible.

I get what you're saying. It's frutrating to argue
football when the other parties don't know what they're talking about. Still though I'd rather talk smack to a bammer after they lose to Louisiana-Monroe, or remind the Vandy fans around here that they are still the same old sorry ass Vandy. I always pull for FSU vs the gators, and GT vs UGA, and anytime one of our rivals is in a dogfight with some nobody team I'm on the edge of my seat hoping for the miracle upset.

Maybe you'll get lucky and we'll join the WAC one day so we can go undefeated. Then everyone can say "yeah.......... but you play in the WAC........."

Pulling for everybody in the conference is for fans of the bottom feeders. It's the only way they can feel good about their team.

UT has already been there and done that. Most recently during the 1998 season. I was there to witness almost every game live. Were you old enough to even remember it?

That's fine everybody keep ducking the question because you know the answer is contradictory to your point.

You either 1) want everyone in our conference to suck, thus putting us in a crappy conference (such as the WAC)

or you 2) want us in a strong conference. The only way for the conference to be strong is for the majority of the teams to be successful. So if you want your conference to be strong, you must support teams in the conference when they are playing out of the conference.

So you either pull for your conference, or you wish we were in the WAC.

I understand why many UT fans are hesitant to cheer for other SEC schools

Your historic rival (Bama) and modern divisional rival (UF) have had more success recently.

Since UF started the BCS winning streak, I want to see it continue....unless UGA somehow makes the title game.

Uh, Bueller, you're the one who said people who want others to suck and UT to go undefeated means that we wish UT was in the WAC. I clearly pointed out that UT has gone undefeated and done it while in the SEC. Do you even know what the hell you are arguing? Apparently not.
