He's practiced/played point for two years don't give me that crap. And improved in what area? You wouldn't know the game of basketball if Larry Bird's mustache smacked you in the back of the head.
Too many turnovers from the team aside, this kid showed absolutely NOTHING today. Plays with no heart, no hustle, no fire. If I were Cuonzo I'd bench him and let Tatum play point guard like he did today. Absolutely horrible effort and unacceptable against the #2 team in the country and our huge rival. Piss poor.
Clueless Post! Golden has never claimed to be a point. I believe he was a SG in HS. However, Tatum is not point at all and as streaky as they come at game time. Plus Golden is just a Sophomore. Give him some time to grow.
Have you watched all the games? Tatum as not shown up in his fair share of games as well and he's a Senior.
seriously guys, just don't pay altidore17 any attention. I bet he is one of the ones that was complaining after the miss st. Game about golden taking too many shots as well. Can't have it both ways champ. Yeah, he didn't shoot well, but was this loss because of him? No it wasn't. Poor shot selection by several members of the team in the last 4 minutes was our downfall. This includes tatum and woolridge. I could also bring up the 2 turnovers from stokes in the latter part of the game as well. This goes to show that this 3 point loss does not fall on the head of one player.
Altidore17, instead of making yourself look like an idiot, all while representing the ut fans in a poor manner, you should take up a hobby. Perhaps knitting, or possibly being a uk fan. You seem to have a lot in common with most of them. The constant ignorance, and being oblivious to facts and the rational behind team sports can be held in the same standard as the state north of the border.![]()
Anyone notice Woolridge had 0? Might have been an issue...
We are pretty use to seeing that number from him, but he still brings the energy and defense he doesn't let it bother him. Those back to back 3's he missed were pretty much from the spot he made against Msu in the closing minutes, I don't have a problem with those shots.

So because he played good last game, he doesn't have to play hard this game? Great logic. You must've LOVED Scotty Hopson. You guys are just talking out of your asses you can't defend Golden's performance today just admit it. It'd be totally different if he played with effort and heart and only scored 2 points. HE WALKED THE BALL UP THE COURT WITH 19 SECONDS LEFT. If you guys are satisfied with that then that really says something.
If you stop and contemplate about what could be going through a young kids mind in that situation then maybe it will be a little bit more understandable.
Do you think he may have been thinking about the game before and wanted to make sure he didn't turn it over again.( Trust me he has beaten himself up plenty over that)
I think he played exceptionally well defensively and that takes a lot of energy. Remember the the last couple of minutes of the Memphis #1/ Tennessee #2 game a few years ago when Rose walked it across half court, called time, and folded over the basketball completely spent. ( that happens)
I believe trae gives his all for us when he is in the game. Did you ever play in a game when you looked at the rim to see if there was a lid on it because you couldn't buy a basket with a fist full of c-notes. (it happens even to the best of players)
Give the kid a break. (he deserves it.)
I'm still perplexed as to why yall keep bringing up his poor shooting? This has nothing to do with performance and everything to do with effort as I've stated numerous times in this thread. People's reading comprehension (or lack thereof) is very surprising to me.
