Who cares? 150,000 other people died yesterday too, and I don't see posts about each one of them. I don't see any posts about the several people murdered by a serial killer in Memphis last night that was joy riding around town in multiple stolen vehicles shooting random people in the face either.

Regardless, don't see how that or any of what I posted either relates to football.
There are lots that care

Double rainbow appears over Buckingham Palace as crowd gathers to mourn Queen
Had one over my house yesterday too. Heck it's rainy season so we see them almost daily

Meh. A dead British monarch seems like reason to celebrate over here in America.

I wonder if they put her down like they did George V?
As a person with primarily colonial ancestry, I gotta tell how much we don't care. 1775, 1812. These plebs tried two times. RIP Bozo. Lmao

Yeah, little liberal Harry made a big mistake when he fell for the wicked witch of the US. But, his brother had three kids, which quickly moved him down the line of ascension to the throne, so why not live in LA and blow powder up your nose than have to do the royal thing. Same choice his uncle Andrew made.
Harry fell for the hilldawg? yikes

You'll prob wanna refer to the thread on Violence in Memphis. That'll take care of one of your points of issue.

Charles is apparently not well liked. Wonder if there will be an increase in calls among Brits to abolish the monarchy now.
I think so. Lots of people have said, and I think this is correct, that the most amazing thing about her was her ability to keep the monarchy popular/well-liked despite all the changes in the culture at large. Political upheaval, cultural change, technology, etc. In an era where everything gets politicized, she was never seen as political and was seemingly liked by everyone, even people who are critical of the idea of a Royal Family.

However, the impression I get is that Brits liked Queen Elizabeth, not necessarily the monarchy as a whole. They certainly don't like certain members (or ex-members) of the Royal Family (Andrew, Harry/Meghan, Charles to a certain degree). I think it will be almost impossible for the remaining figures of the family to maintain its current level of popularity.

Never would have thought that inbreeding could lead to a long lifespan.
I think it has more to do with some special healthcare system the regulars like us don't have access to. Have you ever questioned why our presidents and presidents and royals of other countries live so long? Jimmy Carter is nearly 100, Bush Sr lived to be nearly a 100, Reagan had Alzheimers and lived into his 90's. The queen lived to be 96, her husband was 99 when he died, her mother was 103 when she died. Those aren't normal life spans.

It will be interesting. Being King/Queen of England in today's time (Like for the last century) is like sitting in the Rec Room playing Candy Land while the adults are off doing something grown-up.

It appears Pelosi is in that same health care system. She's a drunk and shriveled up old prune with a granite rock for a liver, and it full steam ahead. Maybe there is also something to be gained from these secret societies they are all members of. Raymond Reddington tried to eradicate one of them.
