However, the impression I get is that Brits liked Queen Elizabeth, not necessarily the monarchy as a whole. They certainly don't like certain members (or ex-members) of the Royal Family (Andrew, Harry/Meghan, Charles to a certain degree). I think it will be almost impossible for the remaining figures of the family to maintain its current level of popularity.

Seems like William and, especially, Kate are well liked, although I do not know that for certain. I think Charles will be hard-pressed to maintain any level of likability.

Well the thing about monarchs is it doesn’t matter. Unless, of course you’re catholic. Parliament still doesn’t allow that.

Which is why he very well might pass it off pretty quickly to William. I'm sure he wants to be King; hell, he's waited his whole life for it, but he also would not want to preside over a steep decline in the popularity of the Royal Family as an institution.

William and Kate (and their kids, I guess) are really the only ones that seem to be fairly consistently liked at the moment.

They have a lot of class problems right now (well, always have).. and they are not very nice to the Irish.. to their faces 😂 witnessed it in London.. they have a lot of baggage with a lot of different things 😂 they also had a big refugee influx.. not sure how that’s going.. I would imagine not well.. but who knows

I know you are trying to be cute lol, but you are not taking into account your Eastenders/Westenders, Liverpool, Etc .. unless you have traveled there, ypu probably don’t have a good grasp on it
