Nope... I'm a white male... I know I'll be treated right by the private sectors. Minorities, however, can't say the same.

Just a question... Do you think it's an advantage/disadvantage/neither to be white?

your edit and addition of this word PROVES that you did mean what you said about the government should control the PRIVATE schools
Nope... I don't believe that all. There's public schools, so private schools overlooking somebody isn't as much of a big deal.

1. Do you think it is an advantage/disadvantage/neither to be thin?

2. Do you think it is an advantage/disadvantage/neither to be attractive?

3. Do you think it is an advantage/disadvantage/neither to be intelligent?

I only ask because all these factors also contribute to a disparity of opportunity but very few people think we should ensure equal opportunity with respect to these innate traits. Why not?

That private sector will treat everyone just fine if they dole out the cash.

I do not think about color as either an advantage or disadvantage. The person should earn the thinks they receive in this world. Not be given them based on color. If someone is given something just because of ANY color, it is wrong.

1. Do you think it is an advantage/disadvantage/neither to be thin? Can Control

2. Do you think it is an advantage/disadvantage/neither to be attractive? Can control

And thanks for avoiding my question. It proved my point.

I don't disagree. Nothing should be given to anybody because of color. But if you and a minority apply for a job with the same qualifications, who do you think has the advantage in most cases?

Really, how did it prove your point. Also, how are you going to change your attractiveness? In addition, studies show that intellectual capacity is largely innate. People can reduce this amount by not performing to capabilities, but the capacity is something that you are - for the most part - born with (you got me on thinness). Again, why do dumb people not get special breaks? Why do ugly people make almost 20% less on average than attractive people?

The person that is the most qualified in the eyes of the employer and the GOVERNMENT should have NO say so in it.
You can play word games all you want, you are wrong about entiltlement programs in todays' world.

There are things to make yourself more attractive. Wear clothes that are in style.. Put make up on..

And yeah, you're right intellectual capacity is something you're born with, like athletic ability, etc... But I can make sure I cap my capacity.

Not the same thing with race.. You are who you are in that case.

And again, stop avoiding my question... Would you rather be an ugly, stupid white male or an ugly, stupid black male?

Not really. If the private sector was unregulated, over time it would go back to being all white. All you have to do is look at private schools. One of the last unregulated things in this country (not a bad thing due to public schools) and somehow it's still mostly white. That didn't happen on accident.

And I guess that's the problem. People have eyes/misconceptions and are going to deem somebody that looks like them to be more qualified regardless if that's the truth or not.

No that happens because of money. Again, they are not going to deny a minority if his/her parents pay the tuition.

I'm not saying that racism isn't bad. I'm just pointing out that there are a lot of characteristics that negatively affect people. We have - as a society - simply singled out race as one that needs equalization.

And to answer your question, it would depend on my goals. If I had to pick one or the other, I would rather be a stupid black male.

And NOBODY is answering my question... Keep all your qualifications but change your skin color to black or another minority.

Are you now at a disadvantage?

False, they have money called scholarships they could give out. It still doesn't happen at any kind of rate that makes me think it's equal.

Scholarships are not given by the school, they are given by the donors who sponsor them. The vast majority of those scholarships are given to minorities.

So your basically saying that the private sector business owners could care less if it hurts their business, as long as they hire white people?
