Correct me where I am wrong but it seems that you don’t know as much about basketball as the people you are criticizing.

You just seem to know that UT is doing better now than in the past; so you are a happy camper.

Exactly. This post proved that to me.
was that woman's b ball..

To me, if you know this little about UT basketball, you have no business criticizing anyone else's opinion about the program.

Again thank you for responding.

I cannot figure out if Billy D got lazy after his NC's or what happened. His recruiting seems to have picked up in the last 3 months as does his team, maybe he will have a very good year.

...

IMO he caught lightning in a bottle with Joakim Noah and that class. His coaching ability remains to be seen.

I also think Hardwood that I would be interested in hearing you discuss Cal's offense and UT's. I think they are similar, and I enjoy watching both when they are really going.

Yeah, that would be cool. But not tonight. I'm am 2 hours into a poker tournament on Pokerstars.net, and just doubled my chips on a straight. Not to much room for analysis. lol

Not even close to being similar.

:eek:k:

I think to an extent, some of it has already been seen. But as long as the Gators continue to win BCS championships with the pigskin, its a debate that is for naught. His recruiting SHOULD keep him in the tourney.

i love being the punching bag.... keep em going.

UConn without their PG from the year before was a great victory in the 'AAs...

here we are arguing over a second round game when y'all are complaining we never made it to the eilte eight... kind of shocking.

And you give me a reason this most repeated bad argument on this site deserves any response. Most of our football fans that see basketball as a neat diversion continually trot this lame garbage out there, but all programs have to take the next step. Why shouldn't we expect to? Calhoun did. John Thompson did. Jim Valvano did. Boeheim did. Donovan did. Maybe you see that this list could get large. Leaning on a shoddy history as an excuse for accepting fixable problems is utterly ludicrous to me.

Kahlid Al-Amin was on the team Tennessee beat in 2000.

Don't get into those pesky little detail thingies. It's easier to talk in generalities about being better than we were and the fact that we're not the Jayhawks.

You are using a list of CBB HOF coaches? hahahahah...

BPV. Where do you think BP ranks in the SEC, and where do you think he ranks nationally? Do you think any of the ACC coaches I mentioned are better coaches? They are at programs with more history of success (particularly GT and Clemson), but I think they are not close to being as good as Bruce.

I would place him third In the SEC with Andy Kennedy as a better actual basketball coach awaiting a shot at a spot where he can recruit a little.

The ACC crew you mentioned is a herd of idiots. None should be coaching any longer. That will rectify itself soon enough.

I listed guys who disnt let the history of the program keep them from big wins, but that's how HOF guys roll. When you wanna call him elite, those are the standard.

We have to play D and execute on O. Until then, winning big games is going to haunt this team. CBP can get there, but our accepting less certainly doesn't help things.

BPV and Hat,

Want to say where BP ranks in the SEC?

Where he ranks nationally?

If he is better than the coaches at NC State, Clemson and GT?
