Realistic QB situation

Yeah, no. If it looks like we're losing to FL and coach thinks it has to do with QB play, I expect Nico will come in.
Gotcha but even that comes with an extremely big risk for TN and Nico this early in the season.
I personally don't think we'll see Nico in FL even if we're losing.
Playing QB shuffle can be dangerous for your program.

Let's see what happens. I hope we dog stomp them and don't have to worry about it. Dog stomp might not be politically correct these days....but you get the idea. :D

The day Milton loses us a game conversations like this make sense... until then....

He hit them in the hands bro. They have to catch those. Two were overthrows. Behind or not they should have caught them. Hendon was god awful in his second game last season. But you do yip and hate all you want and call for Nico
If you are running down the field and a ball is thrown behind you and you stop and it hits your hands, sure you should catch. If you’re sprinting across the field wide open and a 90 mph ball is thrown 5 ft behind you, even it touches your hands. Maybe 5-10% chance that’s a catch. Call it hating all you want, not saying he should hit every receiver perfectly every time, but more consistency is really needed for a starting qb on a team that finally has legit sec talent. Honestly think if we would have swapped qb with apsu at beginning of game. Same outcome?

Go back and watch. They should have made those catches. If they can’t then they won’t be playing anymore after Tn. But you continue your hate

A Player makes plays, no ball will be perfect every time and you won't catch them all but if the NFL is your goal you need to be stacking up you a highlight reel of making plays.
The he throws too hard, well I'm sure he throws it hard in practice but also I seem to remember QB's like Elway, Farve and others that peppered the ball

So because I see abnormal inconsistencies in our qb, that’s hate? Wise up sir

Pretty much, you are wanting g Nico so bad that you are pulling for joe to fail
NEVER do I pull for any player, in any sport for the University of Tennessee to fail. EVER!!!!!!!!
Been a fan for over 50 years. If I’m not allowed to make an observation on what I see now vs many different qb in UT history without being accused of hate, that’s damn sad

3 way? Three way what?

... wait ... are you ... wait ... are you suggesting .. ... that Gaston Moore is somehow a part of the starting QB conversation right now?

Dumbest fans on earth….

In a round about way he’s already answered his question in the OP. Milton is the best option right now. Nico will be the guy one day, he’s just not physically or mentally ready right now. If Milton can’t beat Florida then we need to reconsider but right now he’s your best option.

I agree but wish he would run more like a guy that is 6'5 235 lbs.

Turned down a couple opportunities to run yesterday and doesn't seem inclined to tuck and run much on improvised plays or seek out contact.
What are you watching. Go ask the VA defender he trucked just inside the 10 yardline if he is not seeking out contact. You think he was not prepared and anticipating contact on his run to score just before half this week? Like the often posted false narrative about him running out of bounds to avoid contact vs MS. Launching a blind ball towards the endzone at the LOS would have done that, taking a big hit at the 8 running for the endzone did not.

I knew following Hooker would be tough but good grief. Milton is getting close to the record for passes without an interception and we have won the last 4 games he has started 166-40 and people are calling for his head after a game where he three touchdowns and no turnovers.

I would have thought that all of the Brandon Stewart supporters would have died off by now.

You don't pull a QB while we are winning games. That's just asking for a divided locker room, a nervous backup now turned starter who worries he'll lose the job if he's winning but not winning good enough. Milton is the guy until he's not. The WRs have to do their job too. Hooker didn't always look great but the WRs caught the balls.
The players called a meeting. Not me. They know we better get this fixed before we start playing better teams. Completing 1 pass beyond the LOS isn’t going to work.

Something is off because they aren’t making those catches. Last year, whether it’s timing, velocity, loft or black magic, the guys caught everything Hooker threw.

They did not catch everything he threw. His completion rate was 69%. Milton’s is 67%. Before you start flailing on the ground talking about yards per catch, give it a few games. As I’ve pointed out a few times, Tee Martin threw 37% against Syracuse on his way to the only national championship in our lifetime. Milton has zero interceptions, he’s 2-0, he threw a couple of imperfect balls, but also had several catchable drops. Just dial it down. Let’s see how we’re doing Saturday night. He’s not perfect, but he has earned his time and is doing much better than our fans understand.
