Again i ask why u pay a coach 3m a year to be 1 to 2 games better than dools... Omg a freaking jr high coach could win more than dools n his staff but u r giving this staff a pass first year..

So on nsd if class is top 20 u guys will say wait till his full year n then if he goes 6 n 6 u guys will say he needs more wins before our recruiting gets better..wtf

At some point we have to expect to win more than 6 games n i say that better be this year.

Phil had 1 n 3 yrs.to get to cg min n cbj better be reminded that is his goal

bUTch's first year at cincy was only 4-8 then got beat by UT in the next season opener only to turn his team around and be big east coach of the year that year. UT has more talent than cincy, but dooley's teams fizzled at the end of each year. bUTch's teams get stronger as the year progresses. bUTch has won about twice as many games as he has won including losing 9 of his first 13 at cincy. It may take a year, but this train is getting on the right track.

i understand where you are coming from but where exactly do you see the wins.

jones was 8-6 in year 1 at central michigan and 4-8 in year 1 at cincinnati.

the games against oregon, florida, alabama, south carolina, and georgia would be no fun for a school with bcs bowl aspirations nevermind a team that hasn't won 8 games in a season since 2007.

Keys to 6-7 wins in 2013:

1 -Our QB has to be better than Matt Simms
2 -The D needs to be at least average in the SEC (probable given the move back to the 4-3 and the ousting of Sal)
3 -The O-Line needs to be as efficient as it was last year
4 -Lane and Neal need to continue improving
5 -Bullock is healthy and becomes a more reliable kicker than Palardy

And last but not least:

6 -The players actually bond with CBJ, respect him, and play their hearts out for him every Saturday.

Number 1 - Check
Number 2 - Check
Number 3 - Check
Number 4 - Check
Number 5 - Check
Number 6 - Dbl Check

I think all 6 points happen & I see 9 wins including the bowl. Like others have said earlier...Rid of Dooley & Sal is good for at least 2 wins, plus all round upgrade in the coaching staff.

NSD has not come as of yet. bUTch will be fine.
lol Your gona be let down! Next season we break in a new DC! We don't play Akron,Temple,Toledo,Austi Pea,Connecticut and teams like that where you can pad 5-6 wins every season, we normally have 2-3 but with Vandy smoking us in Recruiting and Kentucky bringing in a much improved staff we will struggle to make a bowl yet again.

I say 7-5. I think we get an upset this year and get South Carolina at home. But I think we stumble at Missouri. Just because it's on the road and Missouri is gonna be improved this coming year but I think it'll be close. I see us getting revenge on Vandy. It'll be close though...Butch Jones will have these boys hyped for this game and how much Vandy has been talking trash about UT.

7-5 would be a good year. I think the Vols and CBJ surprise someone also, possibly 8 wins, but @ OR, FL and Bama is going to be tough as hell. Toughest schedule around, a good building block for years to come. Close, tough games build character and create a winning atmosphere. Go get 'em Vols!

I'll have some of whatever you're drinking, smoking, or whatever is making you delusional...

well oregon is getting a new coach, and if ive learned anything over the last few years getting a new coach isnt always a good thing.

We will win some and lose some. Some will be happy, some sad and, some indifferent. I would love to see us win them all but, I am realistic. I hope and pray for a decent season but, I will be supporting the Big Orange all season.

7-5 or 8-4....hope we can get some consistency from the QB and WR positions...

Defense will be MUCH better just from the subtraction of Sal.

Not even Dooley managed to spoil the eight losses in a season record. I don't see how a coach that's actually better will pull that off.

Having bye weeks before SC and Vandy should slightly favor us unless they have bye weeks before playing us too :)

schedule is brutal, what's new right?? i still think we can win 7 or 8. not good enough but it's a start.

Don't care what the record is, I just want to see us in a bowl game!!!! If I had to predict I would say 7-5.
